DOMINO (2005)
What do Man on Fire, Enemy of the State, The Fan, Crimson Tide, True Romance and The Hunger have in common with Domino? Like Domino, they were all directed by Tony Scott. They were also all better than Domino. Bleh..

Glad to hear you enjoyed ROCKY BALBOA so much, Frankenjohn. I'm a huge fan of the original, but not so much the sequels. Like most people, when I first heard about this flick being in the works all I could do was groan, "Another one?", but I'm hearing a lot of good things about this one.

Babe: Pig in the City -- more social commentary for children, except this one is a lot more dark than cute, kind of terrifying at places, and . . . I already said darker, right? I mean, from the first scene with the accident in the well, it's not the same. Wonderful sets though. B+.

Night at the Museum- It"s not bad actually. While it's not extremely funny, it's entertaining. It's also a good movie to see as a family (if there are younder siblings) because it is very clean. B.

Rocky Balboa
If you own the Rocky Anthology Box set on DVD, when this one comes out, grab Rocky V, throw it out, and replace it with this one. I was amazed not only by how much the movie DIDN'T suck, but how GOOD it was. I was actually in tears at times. In terms of acting, time has been good to Mr. Stallone. This is the best Rocky movie since... well... Rocky (which is still the best). Needless to say, I enjoyed it and enthusiastically recommend it. A

HOW THE GRINCH STOLE CHRISTMAS (2000)
Jim Carrey is perfectly cast and he tries real hard, Rick Baker's makeup is topnotch and the sets and production design look just like Dr. Seuss's drawings come to life, but there's something just not right aboout this live-action version of the classic cartoon and book. The movie's cute, but maybe this tale just wasn't meant to last more than 25 minutes or so. It really feels padded. Still, it's better than the few minutes here and there that I've caught of Mike Meyers' "CAT IN THE HAT" which looks just atrocious.

Happy Feet- It's cute, funny, nice to look at too. But for a musical, there weren't a lot of songs. B+.

I did not think there were enough songs, in fact I thought there were "ice blocks" of this film with out songs. And I don't count dancing as singing. Because feet can't sing.
