If you wait for me to finish mine (I'm about 1/2 way through) I'll send you my copy. I bought it used on amazon for like 3 dollars and it's beat up but still readable. I'd say $7 ain't too much for a classic Slade novel - paperback or not. ...ahh, but if thanks to Phoenix's idea we can start some sort of The Board's Library - it's all great!

Let me think of the rules quickly and I'll soon do something about it! By the by, how do you like "Ghoul", Phoenix? For many people this is Slade's best book.

For many people this is Slade's best book. I love it! I just wish I had more time to just sit and read it straight through. The cast of characters is amazing and it's complexity makes it a must read. Probably will finish this week and then I'll post my 'final' assessment. ;D ;D Then off to LDG!

So I finished 'Ghoul.' It was great, I really liked it. I still liked Headhunter better I think just because the ending had such a 'SHOCK' factor for me and it was my first time reading Slade. This was very gruesome though and it did (again) give me strange dreams. The murders are so descriptive and horrific. I also loved all the descriptions of the London sewers and it seemed so well researched. Plus the psychological stuff is just astounding! I can't read these anytime else but during sunshine hours or on the beach. No bedtime reading anymore w/Michael Slade books for sure!!!
So....What is the next book in the series? I try to find this info on my own but since the books are out of print I can't find what exactly came next! HELP!!

So....What is the next book in the series? I try to find this info on my own but since the books are out of print I can't find what exactly came next! HELP!! Next one's Cutthroat - and I hope to be getting my copy of it soon as well. Here's a link to Slade's official site if you want to take a look at the covers and check out the order of titles: specialx.net/As for the comparison between Headhunter and Ghoul, I also liked the first one better even though I had read Ghoul first. However, as I said somewhere above, many fans choose Ghoul as they fave Slade book.
