Live Free or Die Hard - I'd have to say the only major complaint I had about this movie was the title. Because that's just a really corny title. But other than that, good freakin' movie. Real fun to watch, and remains as satisfying as its predecessors. 8/10

Caught Reno 911: Miami on DVD. The extras are funnier than the movie I think. Definitely very low humor, but it was what I expected since I've watched the show. I laughed alot.

The Color of Money - I might be crucified for saying something like this, but I thought it was better than the Hustler. I just think Scorsese was much better at handling the subject of pool, it moved at the right pace, and I watched it all in one shot. Not to put down on the Hustler, which was also a fine (if overrated) film, but I really thought this was the better picture. 8/10

Porco Russo (Hayao Miyazaki) -- perfectly charming tale of a cursed pilot in the form of a pig who battles sky pirates and the fascist Italians. Mostly wonderful animation and I liked Keaton as Russo, but it's hard NOT to like Keaten, he's like John Cusak, there's this drawing into him that's completley inexplicable. B+.
Speaking of John Cusak....
1408 (Mikael Håfström) -- a rare occurance...an actually really good horror movie. There are times when it gets under your skin or just flat out scares you, kinda like the best horror films I've seen, including "The Exorcist" and "The Shining" among others. There's great direction all around and the story's pretty solid, except for one scene towards the end trying to pull a fast one involving surf boards, but still, I enjoyed it immensley. Plus, John Cusack was great. B+.

Ghost Rider (2007) (Blu-Ray)
HD Video - 9/10 HD Audio LPCM - 10/10 HD Audio Dolby TrueHD - 10/10
A minor mix of grain, noise & softness keep this video transfer from being perfect. There are frequent scenes which have excellent level of detail & depth. The color is tweaked out & skintones rarely look natural giving the image a processed look which may be intentional. I found no differences with the 2 lossless tracks. Both have the same soundfield, not one was tweaked over the other during mixing so acoustics, bass, trebile & ambient effects are equel to one another & both make great use of the LFE channel. Dialog & dynamic range is also well mixed throughout which offers both tracks a great level of consistency.

Ratatouille
Pixar does it again. A very fun, quirky, and - best of all - original film by the guy who brought you the Incredibles that I would also consider one of the best 2007 has to offer. 10/10
