Can you really count him in Collateral. He was there for a total of five seconds to knock into Tommy-boy?
But Snatch and Lock, Stock... are great pictures.

Broken Flowers--I'll get a real review pretty soon.
All in all it was a good picture. Jim Jarsmusch's or however you spell it work is always a bit different and really slow. Bill Murray does perfectly, as he has been doing as of late (since Rushmore). It's good, funny, and interestting. I'd recommend it.

Broken Flowers
What I DID like: -It wasn't the Lost in Translation rehash I was expecting in the back of my mind. In fact, it was a little more like Sideways. -I'd have to say THIS was probably Bill Murray's best performance. -The direction is so simplistic (with so many fade-outs) it's hard not to love. -A strong supporting cast that makes up for whatever dialogue Bill Murray does not have (keep in mind, he's alone for a good portion of the movie)
What I DIDN'T like: -This movie would be perfect, if only it had an ending. It seemed to me that Jarmusch didn't know how to end the movie, so he says, "Let's just cut it off here and leave it to audience interpretation." It'll probably grow on me after a while, but that ending's gonna piss a lot of people off.

The Exorcism of Emily Rose
What I DID like: -It's a genuinely scary horror flick. -At the same time, it's an excellent courtroom drama. You actually get two movies at the same time. -Tom Wilkinson, Laura Linney and Jennifer Carpenter all gave Oscar-worthy performances. -An excellent exorcism scene, that I would most definitely rank up there with William Peter Blatty's scene back in '73. -The direction was perfect.
What I DIDN'T like: -The script could have used a little brushing up... but only a little. -The critics. What the fuck? I mean, so what if the Exorcist came first? For the love of God, it was over thirty years ago! Agendas, people. Critics have agendas. Don't be fooled! This was a great movie!

I just got back from HOWL'S MOVING CASTLE by the one and only Hayao Miyazaki. If you guys get a chance to see it, definitley go see it. It's beautiful and probably my third favorite of his movies, after Spirited Away and Castle in the Sky. It's just...beautiful. I can't really go into major details yet.

The Man
What I DID like: -I was laughing. A lot. -Eugene Levy and Samuel L. Jackson play off each other well. -While it's not original (at all), it does its job well.
What I DIDN'T like: -I feel guilty for liking it, even though I really don't think I should. Fucking critics.

Broken Flowers-I'd have to say THIS was probably Bill Murray's best performance. Come on, is it possible after the "Groundhog Day" Might he be even better? Anyway love the guy for his way he acts, speaks and makes faces.

Just Like Heaven
What I DID like: -Mark Ruffalo and Reese Witherspoon -Napoleon Dynamite as a psychic -It's sentimental and funny. What one would want from a romantic comedy.
What I DIDN'T like: -They advertised Jon Heder's role in the movie way too much. He's actually not in it that long. -Very inferior to both Mean Girls and Freaky Friday (same director).

Lord of War
What I DID like: -The screenplay. One of the best this year. -Of course, NICK CAGE. -Its comedic value is very high. It's entertaining and very well-thought-out. If you liked Confessions of a Dangerous Mind, you should like Lord of War. It's a very similar type of comedy.
What I DIDN'T like: -At the end, the obligatory "true story explanation" (as I like to call them) appears on the screen... even though most of it was already explained during the climax. Kinda like the Blade Runner narrations.

Corpse Bride
What I DID like: -It serves as undeniable proof that an animated movie does not have to be computer animated in order to be good. -Good voice talents... goes without saying. -The triumphant return of the (authentic) Tim Burton atmosphere. -It is incredibly original. My best friend said it best: Tim Burton's a freak! -It is definitely the best animated movie since the Incredibles.
What I DIDN'T like: -It's too freakin' short! An hour and a half... and that includes 15 minutes of previews.

Flightplan is on my list of movies to see.
I thought Lord of War was okay. There were some moments of BAD ACTION from Cage ("Meanwhile, why don't I take your picture?" Maybe it was supposed to be like that), I thought it was about 10 minutes too long and I didn't like how all the politics were thrown at the end, kind of let down the movie. Yeah, and that true story thing.... I'd give it (**1/2 /****)
So it goes.
