The 40-Year-Old VirginWhat I DID like: -My cheek muscles are still sore. -Steve Carell is freakin' awesome. What I DIDN'T like: -Ran a bit long. 87.5% Glad to hear it, one of the few "original" looking films we're getting this year.

62.5%
Grizzly Man
What I DID like: -It was entertaining -When it wanted to be, it was funny
What I DIDN'T like: -Seemed to me like they were exploiting the tragedy -It was sometimes funny when they DIDN'T want it to be. -The narration.
65%
The Brothers Grimm
What I DID like:
-Heath Ledger... for the first (and possibly only) time in my life, I'm gonna say he acted circles around Matt Damon -Cinematography -Its dark comic touch, its atmosphere, cleverness and charm. -A very original story in the vein of Shakespeare in Love... even if it's a little less realistic
What I DIDN'T like:
-Some of the camera angles and special effects bothered me.

I just saw Red Eye, and it was pretty good.
Despite the very short running time, I thought it was very well paced and the things that didn't happen on the plane didn't seem tacked on, like, in something as, say, Hostage (you know, that ending. . . ). Cillian Murphy is a pretty good actor and after Batman Begins, 28 Days Later, and this he's bound to be a star.
Craven is an alright director, and he seems to be the best when he's doing these suspence/thriller kind of things. Oh, yes, and I totally freaked when I saw Robert Yeoman as the cinematographer! Here's an easy question: Where would someone like me know Robert Yeoman from?
Incidently, a great movie.

The Cave
What I DID like: -This begins another hobby for me - Giving bad movies my own personal MST3K treatment.
What I DIDN'T like: -What the trailer promises is what it gives: a pile of shit that tries to be like Pitch Black... except with an asinine plot. -All the clichés are there. -Plotholes aplenty. -Generally, a lot of things that just didn't make sense.

The CaveWhat I DID like: -This begins another hobby for me - Giving bad movies my own personal MST3K treatment. Been doing that for years. Usually, works best when my brother and I work together against a movie. One of the worst we ever ridiculed: Kingdom of the Spiders starring none other than Bill "Cap'n Kirk" Shatner. Here's the worst line in the whole movie, which he said: "You're pretty good lookin' for a girl." No shit!

The Aristocrats
This has got to be the greatest documentary of all time. Ok, so I haven't seen that many.
What I DID like: -I could not stop laughing. Any break between laughs is short-lived. -They're pretty much telling the same joke over and over again (which is the point of the movie mind you), and it's funny every time.
There's nothing that I didn't like about this documentary. It was perfect. Beware, it's also got some of the raunchiest, most tasteless humor I've heard since Bad Santa. If you're easily offended, you might want to stay away from this movie. But I loved it.

Penn & Teller are both IN it, but just for a couple minutes.
Actually, many stand-up comics are in this one. Robin Williams, Drew Carey, George Carlin, Chris Rock, even Bob Saget.

Question for Smitty:
Which version of the joke was the best and how did it go?

Now, now, wouldn't want to give any of it away, would we?

I don't know the actual joke, but I've heard from a few different sources that Gilbert Godfried does either the funniest or filthiest version of the joke, depending on who you ask.

The Constant Gardener
Before I go over the stronger points of this movie, I gotta say this is one of the best films of the year thus far. That being said...
What I DID like: -Oscar-worthy performances on the parts of Ralph Fiennes and Rachel Weisz. -Excellent editing -Great direction puts you in the movie. -An subtle yet intense story. -It was everything we expected the Interpreter to be and more.

The Transporter 2Before I begin, I must point out I haven't seen the first one yet. What I DID like: -Jason Statham is bad-ass. When it comes to action stars, he's one of the best. -The hand-to-hand combat sequences were excellent. -Overall, it was entertaining to say the least. What I DIDN'T like: -Statham seemed to be the only thing keeping this movie from looking like another video game. -It was a blatant exercise in style over substance. -Because of some crappy, fake-looking CGI, the chase sequences were sub-par. -It had a plot riddled with clichés, and a villain just as bad. -Luc Besson was not in the director's chair. 54%

Yeah, do yourself a favor & rent The Transporter Smitty. I agree Jason Statham is in the league of best actions stars today. He does mostly crime/drama, Heist/comedy type films. If you havn't seen Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels, check that one out. Its like a british Pulp Fiction. Other favs;
Snatch The Italian Job Collateral Cellular
