Over the Hedge
Surprised that I saw this before the Da Vinci Code? Yeah, me too. I'm gonna watch DVC with my friends on Monday.
As for this, Dreamworks moves closer to Shrek quality. I really enjoyed this movie. The voice actors (with the exception of the horridly-cast Avril Lavigne) were superb. I especially got laughs from William Shatner, Wanda Sykes and Steve Carrell.
This is going to be a challenge to beat this year, so I hope Pixar has come well-prepared with Cars.

Hamlet (1996) - AKA the Kenneth Branagh version. Very well-conceived, 98% complete adaptation of Shakespeare's classic play (it better be, considering its 4 hour running time)
One of the best films of '96. A perfect 10.

The Da Vinci Code - Review in the works. At this time, suffice to say I enjoyed it quite a bit.

X-MEN (2000)
Gearing up for X-MEN 3. Part 1 is still one of the great comic book based movies.
8/10

Desperation Made for TV Stephen King flick that was on last night (5/23). It was pretty good, a bit of the same old King formula but I still liked it.

X-Men: The Last Stand
The question you're probably asking is, does Ratner kill the series?
Quite literally. No, it's not a particularly poorly-made film (I rather found it surprisingly well-made). What I mean is they call it The Last Stand for a reason. Unless someone decides to start the series over from scratch, this is the last of the X-Men films... Unless you count the Wolverine and Magneto spinoffs being released in a couple years, X-Men is over.
And you know what? That really pisses me off. They were moving in the right direction with X2. They could have kept going with the Phoenix saga (so much more could have been done with it), and most of all, THEY SHOULDN'T HAVE... crap, I want to scream this out, but it's a major spoiler. Two major spoilers to be exact. And it really pissed me off when those two events happened, because I knew right then and there that there would be no more X-Men movies.
The X-Men trilogy ends with a bang. My complaint is, it shouldn't have ended.
Not a review, just a rant.

Coming Home- Jon Voight gives one of the top 10 performances of all time.
Modern Times- 1,000x better than "The Gold Rush." It just shows youhow much of a genius Chaplin was.
