Art School Confidential
Starts off funny, then kinda wanders into something darker. Overall, a fine film but inferior to both Bad Santa and Ghost World.

Serenity (2005) - 7/10
I heard this movie stands on its own, so I decided to give it a watch before finishing the Firefly tv series on dvd. This film is kinda like Joss Whedon's version of the Star Trek motion pictures. A little less sci-fi & a little more down to earth with its characters. I don't really have any complaints about the tv series that ended with only 16 episodes. Nearing the end of Serenity, I couldn't help but question wether Joss might continue this tv show/film & turn it into a franchise like Star Trek.. but I think the fan base is too low. Anywoo, its a solid action sci/fi flick with more than expected graphic violence with its PG-13 rating.

Cape Fear (1991) - A very suspenseful film, very Hitchcockian in style, with a great performance by Robert De Niro. However, thus far this is my least favorite Martin Scorsese movie (although putting a Horror remake next to classics like Taxi Driver, Goodfellas and Raging Bull isn't really fair).

Doom (2005) 6/10
I hated this video game with a passion. I thought Doom was alright, better than the vid game.. I have to say it.. I actually got a kick out of that first person shooter scene.

The Lost World (1960)-I've been wanting to see this one for a long time, and I finally caught it. Really entertained by it, and thought it lived up to it's promise. Needed a little more dinos, but just a little quip.
