Galaxy Quest - I'd never watched it. Ended up loving it, great fun! 9/10 Underrated and I agree, it's pretty funny. It definitely deserved to be a much bigger hit than it was. Tim Allen was actually good as a jaded, egomaniacal stand-in for William Shatner. I love that the character that would be the equivalent of a disposable "red shirt" on STAR TREK, is named Guy, as if to say, your character is so unimportant that you don't even have a "real" name. You're just some guy. Clever.

The Sentinel
It brings nothing new to the table, but it's well-acted, suspenseful and fun to watch. Maybe not worth the price of admission, but it's good enough to warrant a rental.

Hostel- Not as gory as it should've been but still great horror.
The Sentinel- Like a prolonged episode of 24.

"Silent Hill"--extremley ridiculous, but the production values (esp. cinematography and sound editing/effects) are pretty well done. C-.

American Dreamz
It's less like In Good Company and About a Boy than it is like American Pie. In fact, it's not quite American Pie, either. What this is, is a political spoof. No, not anywhere near the quality of Dr. Strangelove or Team America, but it's a pretty fun movie all the same.
The writers try to remain as neutral as possible. Being neutral myself, I can't really call them on that. But don't be surprised if you walk out with a little more admiration for our current president than before (which I don't think was their intention). Even though that's NOT our President being portrayed... rrrrright.... And that WASN'T Bill Clinton in Primary Colors. Uh huh.
Every single performer in the film was excellent. I think the actors are what elevate the film to something above average. Still, I think of the many ways this could have been done better. I should probably stop expecting so much from Hollywood.
Story: 6/10 - 1 pt. above 5, simply because it goes after reality TV. That's one aspect of the story they got right. Acting: 10/10 Screenwriting: 14/20 Direction: 13/20

Hostel- Not as gory as it should've been but still great horror. So...either you like A LOT of gore or it's not as gory as it's been made out to be? Anyway, have this one on the rental list, been anxious to see it. Watched this weekend: Pirates of the Caribbean 3/4- Don't know why I waited so long to see this one...

I caught most of Watchers 3 on Sci-Fi. Slighty better than the first movie, but still super crappy. But let me get this straight, if I may, suddenly, you're a moderator for the Review Hell, and then you cease putting reviews up there? HHHHHMMMMMMMMMMMM.......?
