Caught Will Ferrell's ANCHORMAN last night on cable. It had it's moments. I probably wouldn't have thought it was so funny if it weren't for the two glasses of wine I had right before watching it!

Besides ANCHORMAN, which Sybillness mentioned above, (funny, but not a "must see"), some other recently watched movies are:
THE DAY AFTER TOMORROW: Decent effects wrapped around a run-of-the-mill disaster movie. Typical of Roland Emmerich, ie: INDEPENDENCE DAY, GODZILLA.
JACK: One of the few Francis Ford Coppola movies I'd never seen before and now I don't ever have to see it again. Not a complete bomb, but not anything special either. Not one of Coppola's best, but kids might enjoy it.
SOYLENT GREEN (2nd viewing): Charlton Heston in an early 70's verson of what the year 2022 might look like. Yeah, the video game seen is way off, but they actually avoid looking truly silly by not showing lots of "futuristic" technology and gadgetry. Mostly enjoyed the scenes with Heston and Edward G. Robinson in his final role.

Soylent Green: never saw it, always wanted to.
The last film I actually saw is The Final Cut: a solid near-future set film with Robin Williams, Mira Sorvino and Jim Caviezel. Beautifully shot and nicely acted, it falls short of being "great" but does have some aces up its sleeve (a good core idea of recording human memories and then editing them to a full-length feature for the funeral purposes) and is surprisingly bitter; not for those who only like optimistic stuff but really interesting. Has anyone seen it?

Brutal serial killer flick that's not bad at capturing some of that 70's Grindhouse feel "The Hillside Strangler""Rio Bravo". Some classic moments...but I still prefer "El Dorado"

I did after, & everything outside looked a bit strange. The colors man, the colors! btw, that is an actual screen shot taken of me after power watching Ren & Stimpy. I did take a "movie" break in-between Disc 2 & Disc 3. That helped regain my sanity, if only for a short while. ;D Just watched; Evelyn 2/4 stars - Not a bad little flick imo. Now onto my last Un-Watched DvD, THANK GOD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! National Treasure 2/4 stars - Which I'll probably watch later tonight.
