Oh, and LDG, I'll probably see SITH one or two more times before it leaves theaters. Same as Episodes I & II. They're just not the same on home video. ;D I still have to get back to the theatre to see it at least one more time. Every time we plan to go see it something comes up. You're right, it's def. not the same watching the dvd's.

Finshed watching on DVD last night, the 80's mini-series, "LONESOME DOVE". Never saw it the first time around. Pretty good, but mainly for Robert Duvall who I'm a big fan of, and is just brilliant. Tommy Lee Jones was also very good in it. But as far as western mini-series go, so far I think I'm enjoying the Spielberg produced one that's currently airing on tv, "INTO THE WEST". That one just kicks all kinds of ass.

"Team America" - Unrated. Very funny for the most part (the extended sex scene is a bad taste GEM!) but it's overly padded and thus too long. Losing a good 10/15 minutes would have helped it a great deal. Some wonderful jokes and politically incorrect splashings though.

Brit Horror flick "Creep". Far better than some of the (other) ill-judged reviews on The Net would have you believe, despite the rather large logic hiccups during the set-up

I was just going to watch this tonight - good! And the last film I watched is The House Of Sand And Fog - a beautiful and damn sad piece starring Jen Connelly (most beautiful here!) and Ben Kingsley (WHAT a role!). Much recommended.

Will try to get this one when I'm in Britain this July. Any more obscure - but available on DVD - recommendations for me, 42nd?

Two of the best places to find out about obscure releases are DVD Drive-In and DVDManiacs. "Treasure" is a R1 release, you won't find it in the UK. It's very cheap to buy online.

Meet The Fockers, Heineken: your first time or a re-watch? I guess the latter is true, but for me the movie was very disappointing, so it's just difficult to imagine someone watching it more than once.

I justed watched the Japanese Battle Royale. If you're into strange and cool japanese films this is the one to see. I loved it! I borrowed the sequel from a friend so I'll be viewing that next this upcoming week.

I had seen it once before when it was in theaters, but to be honest, it seemed a lot funnier the first time. Maybe it's that whole thing about laughter being contagious, because I swear, everyone in that theater was laughing their asses off. At home, when it was just the wife and I? Not so much. Oh well, it was "used" so didn't pay a lot. Watched last night, THE VILLAGE. Also "used", but still enjoyed it.
