The Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Beginning
Hmm... I'm sorry, I went into this thinking it was a prequel. I wasn't expecting to see the SAME EXACT FUCKING MOVIE I SAW THREE YEARS AGO.
Christ, it was House of 1000 Corpses all over again.

Rocky II
Unnecessary, yes. But also underrated. While the first one will always be the best, this one lives up to the title, and I'm glad I saw it. A-

And it is Part II, so sure, I guess so. Just busting your balls, man. ;D Love the first ROCKY, one of my all time favorites, but I never really cared for any of the sequels. Saw them all and admittedly, was entertained to varying degrees, but overall I think all they really did was tarnish the first one for a lot of people. All of them tend to get lumped together by casual fans as brainless summer entertainment and that is so unfair to the classic original. Anyway, saw last night: THE DEPARTED (2006) Posted my opinion in the review by Pulpmariachi in Review Hell.

Thank You for Smoking- Funny and true.
The Departed- Look in Review Hell. Anyway, this is a great example of how to make a thriller.
Desperation- Good, but it was WAY too long.
The Proposition- A masterpiece modern western.

I'm not trying to put down on the original (which is a classic), I just think Rocky II was very good as well. Lost: Season 2 - I want more. MORE, damn it! This is the best damn series on TV today. A+

I didn't think you were trying to put down the original ROCKY. I was just mentioning about other people who might think of them all as being the same quality, etc. No harm.
NYPD BLUE Season 2 - Disc 6 Which brings to a close another fine season of my all time favorite cop show.

World Trade Center - emotional but... if I didn't know Stone directed it, I would have never guessed it. I liked the fact that he kept the politics out of the movie but some scenes shocked with the amount of sentimentality - is this really the Stone who gave us Platoon?! 6/10

The Departed
Holy SHIT! Scorsese's holy trinity (Taxi Driver, Raging Bull and Goodfellas) just got a fourth entry. What's the "four" version of trinity? Quadrinity? Anyway, great film. The year's best. Yes. Even better than the Black Dahlia. A+

WALLACE & GROMIT IN THE CURSE OF THE WERE-RABBIT (2005) Cute and "veddy Brritish". I laughed out loud several times.
7.5/10
INVASION OF THE BODY SNATCHERS (1978) Remake of the sci-fi classic. Nice attempt, though a little slow. I hadn't seen this one since the early 80's, but it doesn't come close to the original.
6/10

The Skeleton Key 2/4- Not bad, but predictable Watched this on cable last night. Since I did hospice I liked it just for the fact it addressed my old profession. Plus, the voodoo (hoodoo) stuff was kind of cool. 6/10 for me.
