I'm not much of a fan of this but I did enjoy some weird moments in it. However, I never thought of it as overrated 'cause it seemed to be getting mixed reviews from the very start, didn't it? I loved Nightbreed. The makeup was great, so was David Cronenberg, and it had a great ending. Fraternity Vacation- Hey, it's 80s fun. With Tim Robbins. And John Vernon. A Few Good Men- Nicholson and Cruise ruled!

About an hour-and-a-half through, the middle drug guy who looks Arab is talking to the head drug guy who looks Arab and telling him he doesn't trust the Americans. When the conversation is done, the head drug guy hands the phone to a man sitting across from him in his truck. The man who takes the phone is my Uncle (Dad's Sister's Husband's Brother).

Miami Vice - LONG drawn out film that: A. makes no sense B. is more of a romance/soft porn than an action flick BLECH. 3/10 Who was your Uncle in it frankenjohn? I agree. But Mann's direction elevated it to a 6/10 for me. Many-a-disappointment has fallen into that rating for me. Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby - Anchorman was DEFINITELY better, but this was still a damn funny movie. I just love movies with good improv. Sacha Baron Cohen was hilarious, and I really look forward to HIS upcoming movie, Borat: Cultural Learnings of America for Make Benefit Glorious Nation of Kazakhstan. Story: 7/10 Acting: 8/10 Screenwriting (+Improv): 16/20 Direction: 16/20 78%

Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgandy--Will Farrell's funniest movie (where he's the lead). The tongue-in-cheek humour is just more...focused and effective here (maybe because I've grown up watching TV news rather than NASCAR, and I've worked in a TV studio once). Plus the supporting cast is briliant (though I am a major fan of John C. Reily), but they just played so well off of each other. And how can you forget such brilliant scenes as the smiling insults, the gang war, and the dependency on teleprompters? B+.

Little Miss Sunshine--hands down, no holds barred, and easily the funniest and best movie of this year. Even my Dad, who doesn't go for the whole 'indie' scene was rolling on the floor laughing hysterically. Everything about it was perfect. Like 'Brick' I had to travel to Denver to see it, but it was worth it. I'm gonna write a review. A+.

Risky Business- A great 80s film, though predictable.

Apollo 13 - A powerful, moving experience. One of Ron Howard's best movies. A+
The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen - Underrated. It's flawed, that's for damn sure. But while I was watching it, I said to myself, "this is like Van Helsing, only good." Besides, it's worth it just to see Sean Connery kick ass again. Flawed, but fun. B-

Cannibal Holocaust-First time I've ever seen an uncut form of the movie, and I honestly didn't get that upset or disturbed by it. Every scene that was hyped up beforehand (the dildo beating, the muskrat killing, the abortion and the slaughter of the camera crew) weren't as bad as I thought they would be in their uncut form. The turtle scene was just hard to sit through, but didn't feel grossed out or sick at seeing it. However, it was a lot better than I thought it would be. Both a disappointment and a classic film.

The 40-Year-Old Virgin--I guess I would just be reiterating what everyone else here is saying when I think it's funny. Originally I thought I liked 'Wedding Crashers' better but ultimatley this movie is...just better. B.
