KINGDOM OF HEAVEN (2005)
Underrated and much better than the the overblown, boring and unintentionally campy ALEXANDER. Another winner for director, Ridley Scott. Look for a great Edward Norton playing the masked Leperasy-stricken King Baldwin. Besides Norton, great performances by the always reliable Jeremy Irons & Liam Neeson. Even Orlando Bloom, who's a lightweight in comparison to those other actors, carries himself well in the lead role. Should've performed better at the box office hit.
8/10

Shanghai Noon - If Charlie Chaplin learned kung fu, you'd get Jackie Chan. This movie is funny, has a great story, great locations, and is just plain great fun. I tent to have a lot of respect for anyone who finds a way to throw Jackie Chan into a western.

2010- A bit slow to start, but so cool, and the ending is unforgettable.

Edges of the Lord (2001)
Never heard of it? Up until last week, neither had I. But my friend called me up and asked me to order it on Netflix, as he wanted to see it. I looked it up. First thing I noticed was the cast. Haley Joel Osment, and Willem Dafoe. Next thing, it's a WWII drama about a Jewish boy trying to pass off as a Catholic in order to not get sent to the death camps. And it was a great movie! Unfortunately, it fell victim to its inability to market (it's a dark film, and Hollywood, well, they can be pansies sometimes) so it got a much undeserved direct-to-DVD treatment. But I thought it was excellent. A-

Gone with the Wind - Damn, what a long-ass movie. But it's a classic, a milestone, and most of all, a great picture that stands the test of time. A+++

Talladega Nights: the Ballad of Ricky Bobby--stupid, but fun so I guess it's stupid fun. Isn't quite as funny (or smart) as Anchorman: the Legend of Ron Burgandy (notice how both his names have an R. then a B.), but has its moments. B-.

The Descent- Two words: RAW FEAR. This movie is creepy as hell, atmospheric, and claustrophobic. It's like "Alien" in a cave. The best original horror film I've seen in awhile!

The Night Listener - Robin Williams is a very gifted actor, and this movie is no exception to his acting abilities. It's genuinely thrilling and pretty atmospheric. Toni Collette is creepy! Although I really didn't see much of a point in Williams being gay. I mean, is that in the book or is someone trying to bank on Brokeback? Overall, a good movie worth watching just for the performances.

But it's good to know that's not the case. ;D

I'm not much of a fan of this but I did enjoy some weird moments in it. However, I never thought of it as overrated 'cause it seemed to be getting mixed reviews from the very start, didn't it?
