Fight Club- Brilliant. The most impressive Fincher film yet.

My Super Ex-Girlfriend - It's amusing, and gets major points for originality (I mean, THERE'S a twist romantic comedies have never seen before). And overall, it's better as a concept than it was a movie. It was forgettable, but funny enough.
Reitman's masterpiece was Ghostbusters (or Stripes - which I haven't seen yet), and I doubt he'll ever come close to reaching that film's greatness. He should really consider working with Bill Murray again.

I think the problem is Murray wouldn't work with Reitman these days. He wants to act "serious" now. Which, as you can sense, I don't really approve of - why totally break up with the genre he was so good in?

Murray isn't lending his face to Garfield, is he?

Not his face, thank God. But his voice? Chea.

Lady in the Water - this is a movie where I think most people are really split. Being that I LOVE LOVE LOVE fairy tales I really enjoyed the film. I thought Paul Giametti was perfect & I really do like Bryce. Very original for me actually which is so rare nowadays.
I read (I think it was on aintitcoolnews) that if you have read a lot about M.Night and the movie you probably won't enjoy the film as much. So I avoided stories of what irked you Pulp (dropping off the script, etc).
Just examining the movie I really liked it. Another M.Night hit for me.

So I avoided stories of what irked you Pulp (dropping off the script, etc). I tried not to hold that against him when he submitted the script. Just his presence irked me there. Again, I keep saying this, I didn't think this movie was BAD (I gave it a C, which means 'average' right? I mean, I was happier than happy when I got a C in Logic), but it could have undergone a little more work. Bart, I don't think Bill Murray does 'serious' stuff really. You look at his filmography and he's still doing comedies. It's just that he's changing the kind of comedies he does. Instead of farce adventures he's doing the character-driven stuff. And as a major Wes fan you know what side of the fence I'm on about that!

Monster House - A fun adventure flick, reminiscent of the Goonies. It was fun, and the voice actors were great.

Aliens - One of the greatest sequels of all time. Sigourney Weaver is awesome. "Get away from her, you bitch!"

The Matador--James Bond has a nervous and mental breakdown. Hilarity follows. Unfortunatley, the ending doesn't pack that punch it needed. Oh well, it's still great. B+.

Hotel Rwanda - One of the best movies of 2004. Don Cheadle was perfect, and the story has the power to make you feel sad, angry and inspired all at the same time.
Best line: "I think if people see this footage, they'll say, 'Oh, my God, that's horrible.' And then they'll go on eating their dinners." Sad, but true.
A+

WEDDING CRASHERS (2005)
The first half is hilarious, especially Vince Vaughn who is damn funnny throughout the whole movie. The second half tries to be a little too sweet and sentimental. Very good movie overall.
