The Comedian - I liked its honesty and the anti-star feel but sometimes... you know... sometimes it just dragged, didn't it? Who saw this?

Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl - Way better than it had any right to be. A modern classic, owing much of its success (both financial and as a film) to Johnny Depp. Jack Sparrow is one of the greatest film characters of all time.
Superman (1978) - The rest can take a back seat. One of (if not THE) greatest superhero movies of all time. Most of its special effects withstood the test of time, Christopher Reeve never again could get his Superman to be this good. Before the camp, there was this - the Mona Lisa of comic book movies.

FRIDA (2002)
Very good biopic of Mexican artist Frida Kahlo (Salma Hayek) and her relationship with fellow artist Diego Rivera (Alfred Molina). Good performances by both leads. And a very original visual style for some dream and fantasy sequences incorporating Frida's artwork.
7.5/10

Dogma - An intelligent, funny movie I just can't get enough of.
Superman Returns - Brett Ratner, take notes. THIS is what comic book movies are all about. SERIOUSLY puts Ratner's folly (AKA X-Men 3) into perspective. Pulp, please hurry up and write your review. I'm right behind you.

Thank you Smitty.
I was watching America's Got Talent and there was this juggler who got on and the judges were like, "Yeah no" but he passed because the people liked him and he turned to the judges demanding that he pass to the next level becuase he's won all sorts of awards and everything like that. He really didn't do much but toss the balls up in the air but people went crazy.
A little while later another juggler came out. First he made sure he looked good, appearing shirtless (what a body!) with tight pants. He came out doing backflips and throwing about seven or eight balls in the air, doing all sorts of awesome tricks and it was just dazzling.
When he was done the judges (who were a British prat, Brandy, and David Hasselhoff) looked at the cheering audience and said, "Now that's what juggling should be like. I hope you're all ashamed of cheering on that other guy."
The same could be said between X3 and Superman Returns.

House II: The Second Story. It's not a horror anymore but it has its moments... one or two...

Wow, you guys can't let the X-3 bashing go, can you? How about Batman & Robin? Superman 4? Elektra? Catwoman? Now there are some truly terrible comic book movies. How quickly people forget. Okay, so X-3 didn't live up to your expectations, I can appreciate that, but damn, you guys act like Brett Ratner personally burned your houses down. That's the last I'm gonna say about that topic. Just watched last night: WAKING LIFE (2001) Richard Linklater's deep, thoughtful and highly original animated film. 7.5/10

I liked X-3 for the record. It was FUN at least and a worthy addition to the franchise.
Anyway watched:
Blade: The TV Series last night.
It wasn't half-bad. Much better than I expected. I will probably watch a couple of episodes to get more of a feel.

To Kill a Mockingbird - On the big screen, in an old-fashioned movie theater. Nothing like catching the classics on the big screen, I must say.
Waist Deep - From the director of Glitter. It shows.
1/10

Wallace and Gromit: The Curse of the Were-Rabbit--cute, fun, and entertaining. For a moment I was worried it would have become a Bunnicula rip-off, but it didn't. Fine all around. A-.

Anyway watched: Blade: The TV Series last night. It wasn't half-bad. Much better than I expected. I will probably watch a couple of episodes to get more of a feel. I watched it too...I wasn't expecting much from it but I was pleasantly suprised, once I got Wesley Snipes out of my head & got used to the guy who's playing Blade in the series. Can't remember his name, I think he's a rapper though. Looking forward to seeing more of the series. Watched tonight: The Hills Have Eyes (2006)- 2/4 Really good gore, but the ending kind of lacked, and the stupidity of some of the characters.

The Devil Wears Prada
I can handle the bitchiness and verbal abuse. But the fashion atmosphere... no thanks. But to give credit where credit is due, Meryl Streep and Anna Hathaway were excellent.
