Whitesnake "Slip Of The Tongue" - never listened to the full album before and it's pretty good, it seems.

'How it Ends' by DeVotchKa. About halfway through I've determined that this is one of my favorite albums of all time. It's all a mixture of rock 'n roll, Eastern-European music, and Ennio Morricone. As well as loads of other stuff I'm probably missing.
Why do The Fray, the goddamn Coldplay-knockoff, unoriginal Fray, have to be THE band from Colorado? I mean, when New Yorkers are like, 'Oh we have The Velvet Underground and The Strokes' and Washington answers with, 'Yeah? Well we have Modest Mouse and Nirvana', finally Colorado can proudly proclaim, "We have DeVotchKa."

Never heard of DeVotchKa before. Are the members of Russian origin or what? - the name of the band is clearly Russian (translates as "A Girl").

Nope, the members are Coloradan. They took their name from an Anthony Burgess novel I think. I read somewhere it was mentioned in 'A Clockwork Orange' or something.
They're actually kind of southwestern, more in tune with Ennio Morricone than other stuff.

Ah, okay - A Clockwork Orange makes sense then, yeah.

And another DeVotchKa: "Curse your Little Heart EP." I have their final, Una Volta, but it's burned so I'll probably get the real one when I get more money.

Iron Maiden's brand new "A Matter Of Life And Death". Beautiful. In a way.

Ok, this is actually the first CD I've purchased, well... ever.
My previous source of music has been Limewire, Kazaa, Morpheus and Napster. So me actually going out and buying a CD must say a lot about the recording artist.
Audioslave - Revelations
Listened to a couple songs on the way home. This was money well spent.
Oh, by the way, my name used to be IamTheSmitty. I changed it because in actuality, I'm trying to drop that name. The new name is derived from a very amusing episode of MST3K.

Bought your first CD and got a name changed, huh? No "one step at a time" philosophy for you, is there? And by the way - Revelations is a fine CD, I like it better then Audioslave's previous, softer album (which was still alright, though). Money well spent, sure.

So me actually going out and buying a CD must say a lot about the recording artist. Congrats on your first CD purchase. Ironically, I've never, not once, downloaded a song, and all of my music has been purchased on CDs, and vinyl before that. My very first CD was Ozzy Osbourne's "Diary of a Madman". Which I had also previously bought on vinyl. I could be wrong, but I think the ability to download songs and iPods are hand-in-hand slowly killing the music industry.
