Funny... to me Operation: Mindcrime II sounded very catchy from the very first listening, I had much more problems with part I back in the day.

In the slow-going but continuing upgrade from burned to real editions of The Beatles' albums, I picked up A Hard Day's Night and Help! today. (Incidentally, I'm trying to find the movie Help! but am having NO LUCK WHATSOEVER. Does anyone know where I can see this blasted film?)
I also got The Spongebob Squarepants Movie soundtrack, though it's burned rather than purchased so...whatever.

Today:
'The Eraser' by Thom Yorke.
The closest thing to a new Radiohead album in years. At least before the new Radiohead album comes out.

Got Paul McCartney's 'Chaos and Creation in the Backyard'. The first solo McCartney album I've ever picked up. Mainly because Nigel Godrich (Radiohead's 'OK Computer') is the producer. So...two awesome people for an album...yeah.
For some reason I checked out the audio book of 'Ulysses' from the library. Maybe because it's MASSIVE with 25 tapes and a 25.25 hour running time (not quite the 24 hours June 16th is, huh?). I'll probably read along with a chapter or something before saying, "Eff this."

Livingdeadgirl - yes, this is the original Whitesnake with The Man on vocals. Hope he still sings fine.
Pulp - how do you like The Eraser? I heard it's rather different from Radiohead. I mean - the guy prepared most of it alone, just playing with the pro-tools.

'The Eraser' isn't one of those albums you like right off the bat. Then again, when has Radiohead or Yorke ever been instant gratification. Well, there was 'Creep', but that's song isn't particulary spectacular anyways.
It's like a Radiohead album from the 'Kid A' days without being Radiohead. I guess just like Yorke is Radiohead but isn't totally Radiohead if that makes any sense.
I do like it, more with every listening. It's just this strange little record. Hard to describe really. But that's Thom!

I saw them a few times back in the day (the 80's), but I'd love to see them now. Speaking of the good ole' 80's, hopefully next month I'll be going to see Poison & Cinderella (they're touring together). I told my brother that he had to go w/ me to this one since he & my sis-in-law wimped out & I didn't get to see Rob Zombie when he came here. BUT he & Godsmack are doing a tour together so hopefully they'll make it down this way! ;D

The Whitesnake guys are still OK. Check out the Last Concert thread for details.
Last album I bought: Arakain "Labyrint". Smooth, melodic heavy metal from Czech Republic.

The Little Miss Sunshine soundtrack.
I never think it's a good idea to get a soundtrack to a movie I want to see very badly before I see said movie. Then it makes me want to see the film even more. Unfortunatley that's what I do and that's what happens.
Get released sooner, my theaters are all fearful jesuits!
