28 WEEKS LATER (2007)
I thought the original was a decent horror movie, but I just couldn't get into this sequel. The out of control chopper-as-guillotine was pretty good though.

I'm glad you thought the same towards both of them. I never cared for either one, frankly. I gave this one a 5/10, though, since that helicopter scene was really cool, though heavily CGI.

I actually like that one better, more action to it, but the two films are both complete crap.

THE GOOD SHEPHERD (2006)
Well-made film, directed by Robert De Niro, about the early years of the CIA, but definitely could've used some editing. Way too long. Strong acting all-across the board from Matt Damon, Angelina Jolie, John Turturro, William Hurt, De Niro, the always reliable Alec Baldwin and nice to see Joe Pesci back on screen after an 8 year absence, even if it was just a cameo. Recommended, but not for the impatient though.

Below average effort by John Waters about a young photographer from Baltimore (Edward Furlong) who becomes the toast of New York's art crowd.

Dead Alive-Continues my simply-insane week of zombie viewing by finally getting this one uncensored. Still one of the best in the genre, still unbelievably gory and surprisingly funny, and still deserves a spot atop the list of zombie films, which is starting to get crowded after two straight weeks this month of being exposed to the walking dead. 10/10

1941 (1979)
After the attack on Pearl Harbor, the U.S prepares for an invasion of California by the Japanese. Hard to believe Steven Spielberg directed this colossal waste of time, money and talent. Except for Slim Pickens and to a lesser degree, John Belushi, pretty much every actor in this turkey is underused or just wasted, Dan Aykroyd, John Candy, Christopher Lee, Toshiro Mifune, Ned Beatty, Tim Matheson, Nancy Allen, Robert Stack, etc. The best scenes are the stuff with Slim Pickens and the very opening of the movie, which is a funny spoof of Spielberg's JAWS. Even worse than HOOK.
3/10

One of them didn't pass, but I got the others done: Flesheater-Rather enjoyable cheese-fest of a zombie film, with a couple minor flaws coming in from the cheese. www.imdb.com/title/tt0109809/usercomments-37Zombie Death House-Takes a little too long to get to the zombie action, but that's all good stuff when it occurs. www.imdb.com/title/tt0127503/usercomments-19Zombie Campout-This would've been an incredible entry if only it would've shown more nudity, or any at all. www.imdb.com/title/tt0350370/usercomments-15Dead and Deader-Exceptionally fun, action-packed zombie film that is really enjoyable on a lot of levels. www.imdb.com/title/tt0770739/usercomments-29Feeding the Masses-A new take on the genre, which scores it some points, but really ruined by the political subtexts. www.imdb.com/title/tt0436301/usercomments-35The Incredibly Strange Creatures...-Barely anything worth mentioning about it, though the finale is pretty cool. www.imdb.com/title/tt0057181/usercomments-94Plague of the Zombies-Changes around the rules of zombies, but as a Hammer film, it's top notch. www.imdb.com/title/tt0060841/usercomments-49
