Apocalypto (Mel Gibson) -- if National Geographic documentaries were fueled off adrenaline, then they'd probably produce something like this. B.

Three Amigos
As a kid, I really loved this movie. So watching it again brought back some very fond memories (gotta love that "Invisible Swordsman" sequence). Its ability to make me laugh has diminished somewhat, but I still love this movie. 8/10

CASINO ROYALE (2006)
Quite simply one of the best James Bond films ever made.
8.5/10

Bridge to Terabithia (Garbor Csupo) -- Let's just say I'm content with the job they did adapting the book. Music was the weakest part...it was sort of tacky. B+.

Hot Rod
I walked in expecting the movie not to suck. What I did NOT expect was to pretty much laugh nonstop for an hour and a half. If you find random humor funny (when it's done right, mind you), you will find this one hilarious. Think Napoleon Dynamite without the hype. And with a story (albeit a very ridiculous one). And much funnier. 8/10

That's what I meant. He's never won an Oscar, the poor man. And what a travesty! How he deserved it so. I disagree. As great of an actor O'Toole is, Gregory Peck's Oscar win was well-deserved. I felt that To Kill a Mockingbird didn't translate the enjoyment I got from the book to the screen. I enjoyed Lawrence of Arabia much, much more. The Bourne Ultimatum- Bourne's finest hour. The most enjoyable film in the series. A-.

Three AmigosAs a kid, I really loved this movie. So watching it again brought back some very fond memories (gotta love that "Invisible Swordsman" sequence). Its ability to make me laugh has diminished somewhat, but I still love this movie. 8/10 I love THE THREE AMIGOS! A tuly underrated comedy. HAIRSPRAY (2006) Newcomer Nikki Blonsky outdoes Rikki Lake as Tracy Turnblad, James Marsden (Cyclops in the X-MEN franchise) is hilariously goofy as dance show host Corny Collins, and John Travolta is sweet and a little sad, not to mention kind of creepy in his latex fat suit, as Edna Turnblad. But what really won me over was that the songs are for the most part, pretty great. Yes, John Waters' most mainstream film has been made even more mainstream, but that's okay. This is pretty darn entertaining stuff. And amidst all the dancing, singing and general wackiness, there's even a message about equality and racial tolerance. Better than I expected, especially after the great Broadway version of "The Producers", followed by the not-so-great film version of "The Producers". The whole thing is actually, dare I say it, better than the original. 8/10

The Bourne Ultimatum
KICK. ASS. The best of the trilogy. Great fights, great chases, great acting, and Paul Greengrass once again succeeds at putting you there. One of the best films of the summer. 9/10

Double Impact- This film reminded me of how great Van Damme is. This movie is just a blast. So funny (unintentionally, of course) and offers what we came for: absurd, mindless action. Great popcorn flick. B+.
