THE TERROR (1963) A really young Jack Nicholson and a really old Boris Karloff star in this Roger Corman gothic tale. Nicholson plays a Lieutenant in Napoleon's army (who apparently doesn't speak French or even have a French accent). He somehow gets separated from his regiment (never really explained), encounters a strange young woman, and ends up at the castle of a baron (A really tired looking Karloff). And then... (yawn!) ZZZZZZZZZZ...... I kept dozing off. A real snoozer. The only real "terror" in this, is the 90 minutes I'll never get back. v 1/10 I second that review! I don't even think I made it through the whole thing. Wow, I'm the only one that likes The Terror on here.

Shooter 3/4- Not Wahlburg's finest acting, but a very good movie, Danny Glover great as always. There's a series of books based on the Swagger character, so maybe they'll turn this into a series of movies...

300
One of the better films of 2007 (in my opinion), even after the fourth viewing. 9/10
Then, about an hour later...
300 (with Rifftrax)
They riffed on this one QUICK. So at the expense of watching the same movie twice in a row (and $2.99 for the Riff download), I caught Mike Nelson's take on 300. And it was freakin' hilarious! 9/10

Little Voice- A bit bizzare, I should say. Like, it's good, but it's kind of weird. It's definately not for everyone. B-.
Hot Fuzz- It wasn't as great as it's been praised, but it's a funny movie mixed with some great gore and action. B+.

And it was freakin' hilarious! 9/10 I enjoyed 300 quite a bit, but you can tell it's a movie that would be ripe for Rifftrax. The over the top dialogue and acting, the homoeroticism, the visual look, etc. CHILDREN OF MEN (2006) Very good, even the second time around. Clive Owen is excellent in a film that requires him to be in just about every scene. 8.5/10

Becket- My God. This movie has to have one of the best scripts. To listen to the dialogue is fascinating. So many great lines! Also, the acting is superb. Burton is excellent but O'Toole's performance is amazing. This should've been his seceond Oscar win (Lawrence being the first). A+.

Or is that what you meant, that he should've won his first for LAWRENCE and then again for BECKET?

That's what I meant. He's never won an Oscar, the poor man. And what a travesty! How he deserved it so.

Scooby-Doo-Baby-sitting viewing with my little sister and her friends. Got roped into it due to my love of the TV series and had never seen the movie before (saw the sequel when it first came out but not since) and really enjoyed it. Lots of great humor, some throwbacks to the series and a couple of enjoyable surprises along the way. The amped-up sexuality between them all was a little weird, and certain scenes didn't have any reason to be there, but overall a fun one. 7.5/10
