Sixteen Candles (1984) - Funny although stereotypical John Hughes picture. I liked it, but it's a far cry from the Breakfast Club.

Dark Kingdom: The Dragon King. Pretty good tragedy. Saw that one last night on the SCI-FI CHANNEL as well. Nothing earth shattering, but not bad. Some good sword fights, a pretty cool looking dragon and decent acting. Not the typical "happy ending" either, which was a nice surprise. Also recently watched WONDER WOMAN - Season 2 - Disc 1

Ask the Dust (2006)
A lower profile movie by the writer of Chinatown. Well, let me just say it's a far cry from Chinatown, but in all, I still felt it's a pretty good movie. Great writing, and they captured 30's Los Angeles very well. Colin Farrell and Salma Hayek were great, as were Donald Sutherland and Idina Menzel in their somewhat limited roles.
It feels like a film noir, except it's not. The story starts off strong, and then sort of gets all over the place at the end (which in my opinion felt a bit rushed). But this is definitely one for the film geeks... I enjoyed it quite a bit.

The Incredibles--the best movie of 2004, easily. A+.

Basic Instinct 2.
What? You didn't think I'd go out of my way to see this one?

Basic Instinct 2. What? You didn't think I'd go out of my way to see this one? Was it the soft core porn the previews make it out to be?

Slither (2006)
The most fun I've had watching a Horror-Comedy since Shaun of the Dead. Although Shaun was superior, Slither was a helluva fun movie by a guy who obviously knows how to do horror. I mean, seriously.
