Knight Rider: Complete Season 3 - Disc 3 Side A & B Damn that season sure took some time. Not much commercials back in 84/85 I guess. Each episode runs 48+ minutes. Was a bit disappointed with this dvd set. Universal puts the entire season on 3 discs! So, because of compression, 2 or 3 episodes had glitches. I read that people noticed some sound effects were not present where they should'of been. That it true. I only noticed 2 different EPs that had that problem. Picking out a double-sided dvd from Universal that has problems is like picking out bad fruit at the grocery store. No return policy.

JURASSIC PARK (1993)
Old fashioned storytelling and modern special effects come together to give us one of the biggest box-office hits of the Nineties. That T-Rex and those Raptors still look amazing, thirteen years later. 8/10
THE LOST WORLD: JURASSIC PARK (1997)
Without the element of surprise that he had when he wowed us the first time around, Spielberg ups the ante and gives us more of everything that we liked about the first movie. More species of dinosaurs, a vehicle is attacked by two T-Rex's, lots of people fall victim to lots of Raptors, and this time we even get a T-Rex running amok in San Diego. The San Diego sequences are actually some of my favorite parts of this film, with not just some great scenes of destruction, but lots of little in-jokes and site-gags, biggest of all, is the name of the ship that is used to transport the T-Rex, The Venture. Fans of KING KONG will get that. I could've done without Jeff Goldblum's gymnast daughter though. The character actually didn't bother me until her gymnast skills helped to save them from a Raptor. Can you say, "Cheese"?? 7/10

Lolita- Funny and containing great performances from James Mason, Shelley Winters, Peter Sellers, and Sue Lyon.
The Constant Gardner- A riveting thriller.
Star Trek: The Motion Picture- It was like a wannabe 2001 (in a way) but it was still good.
The Color of Money- Excellent pool movie.

Can you say, "Cheese"?? 7/10 Yeah, that's the only thing that bugged me about this one, but I still like it a little more than Part 1. Just the right pace for me to keep interested in. Still waiting for an R-rated cut of these Just saw: Richard Jeni: A Big Steaming Pile of Me-Pretty good stand-up performance. Gets off some good cracks about not spending money on orphans and the idiocies of political extriemists. A running racial joke is pretty good, and the opening routine on Michael Jackson is damn near hysterical (as all jokes about him are). Dragged in some places, though and a couple riffs have been done better by others before. Still good for some laughs. 8.5/10 George Carlin: Life is Worth Loosing-This was so much better seeing it live, but it was still one of my favorites. As always, tons of memorable quotes (the riff about malls is classic) and had me laughing harder than his previous one, Complaints and Grievances, even though I laughed more during that one. With one of the best ending routines to a show ever, this one is one of my favorites. 9.5/10

Quills (2000) - 3/4 stars - 7/10Didn't expect much from this film when I blind bought it in the "cheap" bin. Very good performances all around from: Michael Caine, Joaquin Phoenix, Kate Winslet & especially Geoffrey Rush.. Wow. Into the Blue (2005) - 2/4 stars - 6/10Typical bad acting from Paul Walker, but its always a joy to see Jessica Alba.. *drool* ;D The film (besides looks) actually had a decent story & more graphic violence than expected from a PG-13 flick.

Bride of Chucky-Still a fun time and one of my favorites. Holds up better than most of the sequels. 9/10
Halloween 6-Every now and then, I call this one better than part 1. This is one of those times. Love it, one of my favorite movies. 10/10
Scream 2-Actually much better than I thought it would be. Been a while since I've seen this, and don't remember it being that good. Twist came as a surprise, but the motives were lame. Duking it out with Part 1 as to which one I like more. 8.5/10
