Frankenstein Unbound- A very interesting take on the Frankenstein tale.

Couple of animated features from different ends of the spectrum:
Hayao Miyazaki's SPIRITED AWAY (2001)
Beautiful visuals, but the story left me cold and ultimately bored. 5/10
Disney's CINDERELLA (1950)
Takes a while to really get going, but not bad. 6/10

Jurassic Park III
Finished of the box set.
Hollywood cliches got in the way of making this a great film.

Interview With The Vampire
Renegade (aka Blueberry) 1/4 Very weird movie...way too much trippin' on peyote in this one. Uninspired performances from the cast, which had more big names than I realized it did....Madsen, Juliette Lewis, Ernest Borgnine, Colm Meaney, Teumerra Morrison...
About the only thing good about it was the settings & cinematography, which were beautiful.

Singin' in the Rain- An extremely funny musical with catchy tunes and great choreography. It made me want to sing and dance. I did.
Cinderella Man- A strong movie. I can't see why audiences hated it...
Casablanca- ...Then again, none of you will just pass this by when I say that I hated this movie...which I do.
It's A Wonderful Life- What a great picture. I'll tell you, I've seen that ending so many times in my life, but today was the first time I cried at while watching that. It was so happy and it made me feel really happy.
Chinatown- A great revival of the film-noir genre.

Jurassic Park III Finished of the box set. Hollywood cliches got in the way of making this a great film. That, the shitty-looking (not to mention un-factual) dinosaurs, and the ending taken out of Lord of the Flies. I hate that movie. But as for a movie I don't hate (actually not a movie but a bunch of music videos): "The Beatles Chronology 2" (everything except The Long and Winding Road, which I never really liked).

THE WILD BUNCH (1969)
Sam Peckinpah's classic about an aging band of outlaws, led by William Holden, who agree to rob a U.S. army train of a shipment of guns for a Mexican general. Meanwhile, a gang of bounty hunters is hot on their trail. Gritty, violent & bloody. Worth the price of admission for the shootouts alone. 8/10

Only 8/10? I'm a horror fan and even I call that one a 10/10. One of the best shoot-outs in movie history, and one that many of today's films still haven't topped.

I agree with Heineken.
Wait, no I don't. I'm not a big fan of that movie. I only thought it was average.
I've watched a bunch of Simpsons Seventh Season episodes...with commentary!

I don't find the "quiet" moments in the film as enthralling as the violence, hence the great, but not perfect, score of 8/10. But like I said, worth watching simply for the shootouts and action scenes. Finished yesterday, THE SIMPSONS Season 3 - Disc 3

But as for a movie I don't hate (actually not a movie but a bunch of music videos): "The Beatles Chronology 2" (everything except The Long and Winding Road, which I never really liked). Are you referring to the Spinosaurus? Because that's a real dinosaur. I know a lot of people seem to hate the Spinosaur, but I liked it. Jack Horner (I believe it was), paleantologist, was onhand in the special features talking about it. He's one of the hold-outs that still believes T-Rex was a scavenger. The skeletal structure of the T-Rex has similarities with both predators and scavengers. I hope JP4 has a stronger script and more involvement from Spielberg than just "executive producer" like JPIII. It felt like it suffered from the filmmakers believing too much in the dinosaurs and special effects, and not enough in the script or characters. If Sam Neil's Dr. Grant hadn't been in that film, there's a real strong chance that it could've sucked something fierce. But anyway, over the weekend, I watched: King Kong 2005 again (my Mom wanted to see it) Single White Female (ooohh sexy!) Suspiria (which was a belated Christmas gift from my Mom-- 3-disk set).

Oh I know the Spinosaur is a real dinosaur but he's a fish-eating thing, isn't it? I mean, look at that snout, it fits more for diving into rivers and ripping out helpless little prehistoric fish than somehow chomping to death a tyrannosaurus.
I can see Kong killing a tyrannosaurus, because that's just pure escapist fantasy; however, the Jurassic Park movies have TRIED to have some basis in facts (despite the raptors being the wrong kind of raptors, they are pretty true to what palentologists have deducted, right?). And I think the tyrannosaurus would have won that Spinosaur fight when it chomped down on the spinosaur's neck, what with its six-inch teeth and whatnot.
I agree though, without Sam Neil that movie might have been bottom 100 worthy huh? Might as well have set Uwe Ball to direct, it could've been that bad.
"Oh I know why the raptors are chasing us!" "Why's that?" "I took their eggs." "Dumbass."
