1h 55m of Cinderella Man. From what I saw, 2/4 stars or 5/10 as the disc literally broke in its native two halves. ;D

Abel Ferrara's 2nd "Miami Vice" episode "The Dutch Oven". The opening car chase aside, sadly flat and badly dated music sequence wise. "Falling Down"

The Thing's Terror Takes Shape Docu from The Thing Special Edition DVD. One of the best docs I've seen, brilliantly added together and makes the movie even more appealing, the way they should be. Totally worth getting the price of the DVD alone. 10/10

SEINFELD Season 4 - Disc 4 (Damn, that show was funny!)
JIAN GUI (THE EYE) (2002)
Asian horror flick about a blind girl who undergoes a cornea transplant. The surgery is succesful, but the girl soon starts to see things she can't explain, ie; ghosts. She then tries to find out who the donor was. Some good atmosphere and decent startles. The f/x work is subtle, but well done. All the real major effects are saved for the last ten minutes or so and they're very well done. If you enjoyed RINGU, the original version of THE RING, then you'd probaby like this. Better than the American version of THE GRUDGE. Haven't seen the original GRUDGE. 7/10

THE SIMPSONS Season 3 - Disc 1
IMAGINE: JOHN LENNON (1988)
Documentary about the ex-Beatles life, which uses excerpts of interviews with Lennon as the film's narration. Lots of never before seen footage, plus new, at the time, interviews with his wives Cynthia Lennon and Yoko Ono and his sons, Julien and Sean. Very good. 8/10

The Howling with Commentary-really informative, with lots of background features and good times. Fast becoming one of my favorite commentaries.

The Howling with Commentary-really informative, with lots of background features and good times. Fast becoming one of my favorite commentaries. My favorite commentary is for C.H.U.D. Fucking hilarious. Daniel Stern pretty much opens it up with, "at least there's one damn Jew in this film!" They spend the whole time joking about not making any money off the movie, complaining about the CHUDs, sarcastically complimenting each other, and swearing for fun. There's a whole sequence where they just decide to say "fuck!" over and over.

Disc 3 of The Shield: Season 3 Empire Records Pet Sematary Star Wars Ep 2 Star Wars Ep 4
Henry:Portrait of a Serial Killer 2/4 Not as shocking as I thought it would be, but pretty good. Excellent performance by Michael Rooker.

THE groundbreaking CAT III shocker "Dr. Lamb". Now in a more complete form thanks to 'Winson' DVD. Has it's typically flat 'Cop moments' but generally still holds up and delivers the nastiness.

Henry:Portrait of a Serial Killer 2/4 Not as shocking as I thought it would be, but pretty good. Excellent performance by Michael Rooker. I finally managed to watch it, too. The final murder WAS shocking, I think - the things that went before were just a prelude to it. Did you watch the uncut girl-with-a-bottle-in-the-face-version of it, Livingdeadgirl?

(I own the uncut and I still don't think it was shocking at all.)
