Nah, it's my first time. Is it movie police-worthy?

Nah, it's my first time. Is it movie police-worthy? No, but it is one heck of an excellent picture! A good Sci-Fi thriller that some claim is the best remake of the original. Jeff Goldblum's breakout role imo.

The Fly II- Not as bad as you all claimed it toi be. Good fly f/x. I liked the second one, too. Excellent gore. I even have the McFarlane figure of "Brundlefly" from the first film. The day I bought it there was a Todd McFarlane exibit set up in the mall (The Mall of America which was my local mall at the time) and when I showed the people there the reciept, they gave me a card that Todd McFarlane had autographed. Also: I just watched 80's "video nasty:" Unhinged. It turns out that it was about worth the $7 I paid.

"Murphy's Law". Average latter day Bronson fare, let down by a script that tries to juggle too many plots resulting in not enough attention paid to any of them. Love some of the cheesy lines though ("Well here's Jack Murphy's Law...Don't fuck with Jack Murphy" and the GREAT "Ladies first" finale quip) and Katherine Wilhotte's endless insults are entertaining with "Butt crust" being one of the highlights!

The brutal, cruel, shocking and unexpected "WOLF CREEK". A rather overly slow start (though it's ultimately essential) leads into a real edge of the seat exercise in expectation defying hard core horror that blasts limp frauds like "Wrong Turn" into worthless pieces.

Mighty Aphrodite- One of Allen's best.
Anything Else- I thought of it as a semi-remake of 'Annie Hall."

"The Green Berets" - Hated by hippies, anti American/The West sorts and the PC brigade...But liked by me. Bad toy helicopter though!
"Body Count" - Fun but sadly forgotten 'robbery goes wrong' flick with a great little cast, Ving Rhames, Linda Fiorentino, John Leguizamo, Donnie Wahlberg, Forest Whitaker and a great barnstorming turn by David Caruso that's as far from "CSI: Miami" as you can get.

Wait Until Dark- The last 10 minutes were da bomb! That's the Hepburn film isn't it? We watched it because it was on Bravo's "Top 100 Scariest Film Moments" list. Also, the wife is a big fan of Hepburn. I just watched "The Hidden" yesterday while my boy took his nap. He woke up in time to watch the last 15 or so minutes.

Haute Tension - long time coming, finally watched; a good gory exercise, just not exactly one of my favourite horror films.
frankenjohn - doing your Woody Allen homework, aren't ya?
