JUNGLE FEVER (1991)
An older Spike Lee film I hadn't seen before. It was okay. Not great, not horrible. I have MO' BETTER BLUES, another Spike Lee flick I've never seen, saved on my DVR as well, so that'll be coming up soon.
6/10

The Private Life of Sherlock Holmes- This lesser known Billy Wilder film is extremely well done, combining a great portrait of Holmes and watson, the steps he took to solve a case, and some intrigue too. ***.

JOE VERSUS THE VOLCANO (1990)
Meh. An interesting cast, Tom Hanks, Lloyd Bridges, Ossie Davis & Meg Ryan (playing 3 different roles), unfortunately didn't make this slow, plodding flick anymore exciting for me.
4.5/10

MO' BETTER BLUES (1990)
Denzel Washington is very good as a womanizing, jazz trumpeter. His band includes Wesley Snipes on sax. The movie's a little longer than it needs to be and I would've enjoyed it more if it didn't suffer from RETURN OF THE KINGITIS, ie: too many endings.
6.5/10

Slither- Snakes on a Plane can't hold a candle to this. It's the best B-movie of the decade. It's fast paced, funny, gooey, gory, and has great f/x. Definately recommended. ***.

Wild Zero. Honestly: I currently have no idea what planet I'm on. A lovely and uber-weird companion piece to Jackson's Bad Taste, I think.
And no, I can't finish this post without screaming ROCK'N'ROLL!!!!!!!!!!!

Sisters- De Palma creates a Hitchcockian (because it wasn't De Palma-esque yet) mood and then fuels his movie with great mystery. Love the split screen. ***.

Feast- I remember watching the third season of Project Greenlight and this movie get made. Gulager actually made a vey enjoyable, low-budget horror film. I'm glad this one saw the light of day. ***.

The Woods- McKee's weakest film yet. It has a bit too many dull moments. Good to see Bruce Campbell in a serious role though. **1/2.
