Believe it or not, spacer, I find For A Few Dollars More boring. I also find The Outlaw Josey Wales boring.

Hostage 3/4 stars
Good action suspense flick..
Bruce Willis, great as usual & the supporting cast ain't that bad either. Lots of surreal violent situations which makes the film more believable than other action flicks.

Oh dear! "For a few Dollar's More" is bags of greatness. It leaves the stodgy "Fistful" in the dirt. Have to agree about "Hairspray". Wonderful cinema. Waters last great film because he went off in a different direction with a Studio involved. And Divine is a gem in this. Anyway.... "Dead End" Fun and fruity Corman produced Drive-In fave "Big Bad Mama"

Spun: Uncensored Director's Cut 2/4 stars
A look at the lives of some really messed up meth users. Shot almost documentary style, (low budget) this film is down right nasty, harsh & in your face with drugs, booze, nudity, violence & language. I thought overall it was alright & for a different Spun on movies, its worth checking out.

Heaven's Pond - a nice little thriller starring the pretty Tara Reid, and - oh yes! - The Killer Shrews - the dogs-pretend-they're-shrews laugh riot.

I was going to watch "The 40 Year-Old Virgin," but after the "horse" joke the tape blew up, so I had to see "The Skeleton Key" instead, which was good.

Dracula II: Ascension
Had plenty of cheesy moments, but was pretty good for going straight to video.

The Ring Two 2/4 stars
The Film;
The story dragged a bit due to the 22 or so added minutes. There was only one added scene (Flea Market) that was worth a damn. The rest of the added scenes in the film got me scratching my head.. no need. As for lableling the dvd Unrated is clearly a way to get people to think this version has the goods. They should have labled it Extended, still scratching my head. Anyway, just an average run of the mill suspence flick with very little frights.
The Transfer;
Yes, all the scenes that were added do exhibit VHS type quality. Very noticeable, but not too distracting as each scene blends in without seamless branching. To compare, those scenes looked like The Forgotten. Thankfully that makes up only 22 minutes, actually less if you count the end credits. The 5.1 DD track is very well mixed, right through the extended scenes & surrounds are well maintained. Sound is definitely not an issue with this disc given the fact that there is not much in the film to freak you out except the fact that people are still using vcr's!

Volcano High (MTV version) - borrowed from a friend, this is a japanese import dubbed with rappers (Lil John, Andre, Big Boi, etc). I thought it would be horrible but instead it was great fun! It's basically a wild live-action anime and rappers actually do great jobs w/the dubbing. A for me.

I saw the play "Spamalot!" It was hilarious! I got a killer bunny puppet (named it Greg, get it?) and got David Hyde Pierce's autograph.
