I agree totally. Majestic is just so thrilling right now, I can't seem to get rid of it from the CD player. I'm really getting into the tracks Majesty, Blood Religion, and Strange World. Hell is my Home is also pretty cool, and even the weird Condemned to Hell isn't that bad.
I like Nuclear Fire a lot, but Armageddon is another good album, too. Downloaded the title track from Seven Seals, I now need that album! Heard some good reviews on it, too, so it should be a great buy.
I don't pick up too many band DVDs, is the Primal Fear one any good? I haven't been looking that hard for, but I can't find it anywhere.

Yeah, the Primal Fear DVD really is worth getting; you can find the following there:
1. The Wacken Open Air performance (from the Nuclear Fire tour) 2. The Black Sun Tour performance (this time a small club gig - but just as good as the one at Wacken) 3. Videos for Angel In Black and Armageddon 4. Wacken 1999 report (not nearly as professional as the two first films - and way shorter - but it's still fun to see haired Scheepers) 5. The Bus From Hell: scenes from 1998-2003 tours
and then there's the bonus CD with Live In Wacken (audio version of #1 - really good!).
All in all - 150 mins of worthy stuff (well, alright - the Bus From Hell is the only skippable thing here) plus a live CD you will often put in your player - can't go wrong here.
And coming back to Gamma Ray's latest: I'd add "How Long" to the list of my favourites; a classic, concise Gamma Ray tune that can't be copied by any other band.

Let ya know by the end of the day. I work 30 miles away from home so I'll listen to the first album & pop in the second one on my way home.
EDIT
OK
Listened to the whole album (First) & my impression so far is that they are good with some instint hits that grab your attention right away. For me those being tracks #1 - #4 & track #5. I'll get this out of the way, they are no where near as good as Rage Against the Machine or Soundgarden albums, but close. Audioslave is like a shit mix of these 2 artists, but in a good way. I caught the vibe from both Rage & Soundgarden right from track #1, which is probably why its one of my favs so far. Rage had a unique sound with their guitar solos & thankfully its present throughout the 14 tracks. Chris Cornell, is real good with vocals & some songs he sings are reminiscent of the old old school Soundgarden. Now I've only heard this cd a few times & only once all the way through, but I believe they have filled the void nicely. By Monday, I should have listened to their second album, but I gotta get into this new wave sound like any album it takes a few times hearing to pick up stuff & "get into it" sorta speak. I'm anxious to hear their latest so I'll let ya know what I think of their second release.

See, Term, for me Audioslave is better than either Soundgarden or Rage Against The Machine; it's like a mix of what was BEST about each band.

Will have to agree to disagree then Bart. ;D
I listened to their second album today. Not as good as their first imo. I just think more could have been done to their sound creatively. They have the talent, but their direction seems to be leaning towards Chris Cornell & his style of music while the band members from Rage are trying to adapt. I guess I was expecting AudioSlave to go in the same direction as Rage Against The Machine instead of Soundgarden. The energy just isn't their with their new album, but their first album is real good.

So I would have to agree with Bart about Audioslave being a good mix of the two. To me, the second album has a little more of the Rage sound to it. Maybe it's the guitars...I dunno, I'll have to listen to it again. I've only listened to it once all the way through.

For me, both Rage & Soundgarden's albums kicked major ass. AudioSlave is a good mix but I bet if Soundgarden didn't break up as well as Rage, each band would be putting out superior albums. Soundgarden never sold out. They kept their same style music till their last song which I envy them for that. Rage kinda took a different approach to their second album, one I was not very fond of but never the less had some hits. AudioSlave needs to up the anti in my opinion for their next album. Or they'll just have that non-original sound we hear from the hundrends of artists today.

Oh, I totally agree with you. Don't get me wrong, I love Rage (& they kick ass live too) but I've always been more partial to Soundgarden as a whole. I can just pop in one of their cd's at any time & relax with it, whereas I have to be in one of those pissed off stressed-out moods to get the full of effect of listening to Rage. ;D I kind of agree with ya that Audioslave could kick it up a notch on the next album, but then again most of my faves from their two albums are the slower, more melodious tunes. But that's just me, that's the kind of music I usually listen to.

I just bought Deep Purple's Rapture Of The Deep - the Euro version special tin box edition. I'm not crazy about tin or wooden or what-have-you boxes, but the normal CD didn't contain one of my favourite tracks here: "MTV". The album is huge - most fans argue it's their best with Morse.

Yesterday I bought Helloween's long awaited continuation of their two most successful albums: Keeper Of The Seven Keys - The Legacy. I'm listening to it right now for the second time and, well, it's pretty good, but we'll see if it can beat their previous effort, Rabbit Don't Come Easy.

I got:
Enraged: Presence of Fear
for free. The band is from California, but their only album was published (on a small release) by a Minnesota-based label--and I happen to work for the same company as the guy who runs that underground label. Apparently, it ain't a big moneymaker. He's also the guy setting up our Heathen Crusade show coming in January. Oh man I can't wait for that!!

I got a free CD with a magazine.
It's full of covers for John Lennon. There's some Oasis, The Vines, Madonna, and some Halloween. Haha. No that last one is a joke. Duh.
Well, the magazine is Q, which is British and the most homoerotic music magazine I've ever seen. I love it.
