Kalmah - Swamplord. Interesting. Love the music, get a bit nervous when the vocalist starts doing his job. But maybe I'll get used to this hellish type of singing finally?

Kalmah - Swamplord. Interesting. Love the music, get a bit nervous when the vocalist starts doing his job. But maybe I'll get used to this hellish type of singing finally? I consider Chuck Shuldiner's vocals in Death to be far more severe. My favorite track on that Kalmah is Hades. Right now, Hypocrisy's "A Thousand Lies" from the new album, "Virus," is playing.

Well, for some freaky reason I like Schuldiner's vocals on Sound Of Perseverance more than these of Kalmah's mike-man. Let me listen to this several more times, though.
Listening right now to: Nuclear Assault's latest - Third World Genocide. Better than I expected (goddamn the so-so reviews!) but not better than my fave Something Wicked. However, if you feel like listening to a folk/thrash song - it's right on this album (called, funnily enough, Long Haired Asshole)!

I've trying to download some Nuclear Assault, but of course, Ares doesn't want to. I'm having trouble downloading Summoning as well, and the damn program can't even find any Municipal Waste!
Right now: Judas Priest, Cathedral Spires from the Jugulator album.

Taraxacum "Rainmaker": a great marriage of heaviness and melody; Rick Mythiasin (also ex-Steel Prophet and New Eden) is one of my favourite vocalists, by the way.

Wolf Spider "Hue Of Evil" - yet another classic example of fine Polish thrash metal; when the album first came out (in the nineties) I had problems with it but now I just love it!

Right now, I'm segueing from "Meat Hook Sodomy" by Cannibal Corpse to "Across the Highlands" by Kamelot. Odd, guttural American Death Metal to inspirational Progressive Norwegian Power Metal. Also on the disc are tracks from Marduk (Blasphemous Swedish Black), Belephegor (Blasphemous Polish Death/Black) Death (Classic Floridian Death), Dew-Scented (Rip-throated Germanic Thrash) Exodus (Classic Bay-Area Thrash) Slayer (What needs to be said about them) Dragonforce (Keyboard dominant, high speed English Power Metal) Freedom Call (Anthemic German Power) and Hammerfall (80's Metal-era Swedish worship). It's a wide variety of groups.

Finally! Someone else who appreciates the wonder and value of Death Metal!!! \m/ ...and thankfully has also taste in some good power metal. Do you also listen to Edguy or Gamma Ray, slayrrr? Me right now: Edguy "Superheroes". I do listen to Gamma Ray and Edguy. Both are very high up on my power metal favorites list, and they both have good albums out/coming out. Edguy more so, but dammit if I can't get Powerplant out of my CD player. I've always been a firm believer that if a band sounds good, it doesn't matter what they''re style is. People always freak when they see my music collection, because it's organized beyond belief, but also because it's so genre scattered. I've always been a bit eclectic, and my collection proves that. And thank you for the compliments. What's you favorite on Superheroes? I kinda like the title track, but that's only common. Right now: Time Machine Heavenly Sign of the Winner

Judas At The Opera is my favourite Superheroes track after the first listening - but that's mainly because of Kiske's vocals, I'm a huge fan of this guy.
