Marty Friedman: "Music For Speeding". Listening to it for the first time and think it's very good, better than the previous "True Obsessions" (which was perhaps spoilt by the unnecessary vocal work).

I would consider Friedman's "Introduction" to be about the best of his solo work. That one's pretty good. Right now, it's still that Death Metal Mixxxxxxxer: Song's changing from Death to.... Hypocrisy's "Slave to the Parasites" from "The Arrival."

Introduction is good, sure, but I prefer the more angry Music For Speeding; here's my Friedman rating:
1. Music For Speeding 2. Introduction 3. Scenes 4. True Obsessions 5. Dragon's Kiss
...which doesn't mean I don't like Kiss - just my least favourite of the bunch.

Dragon's Kiss is cool, but there's not enough variance on all the Speed Metal riffing for me.

True - that's why I like the least. Music For Speeding has the finest balance between slow and fast, I think. And, thankfully, no vocals. The more I listen to it the greater it sounds! Listening right now to: Nuclear Assault "Something Wicked"; this is one of my favourite thrash metal albums ever, even though I know it's not too popular among Assault fans. Anyone familiar with it?

Not familiar with Nuclear Assault, unfortunately...
I'll have to keep them in mind.
