Sucks about the time, but you figure he's got Edguy, Avantasia and all the guest shots he does, so he probably doesn't have all the time that someone else might have.
Good to hear about Gamma Ray. We get that here in the US on the second Tuesday in January (don't remember the actual date, but I could tell it was then) so here's hoping there's enough after Christmas left to get this one.

Paradise Lost's "One Second" album. Kinda delicate piece of music, knowing your taste, Quorth? You a Paradise Lost fan? Their new album - In Requiem - kicks some ass, I must admit. And slayrrr - you got the new Gamma Ray? Now listening to King's X "XV" - it's GREAT!

Testament "The Formation of Damnation" - a great album, more similar to "The Legacy" or "Practice What You Preach" then their last several albums. Which is a VERY good thing, if you ask me.

I've heard the title track, and it sounds like The Gathering to me, which is what I've always wanted from them. I wanted a follow up to that album ten seconds into listening to DNR, and it sounds like that is what they're doing, and I'm all for that. It was their best album, they're best line-up and their best selection of songs with the best production, everything about that album rules and it left me slackjawed when I first heard it. I'm more than amped for it.
As for Gamma Ray, I've got it and funny enough:
Insurrection Gamma Ray Land of the Free, Part II
I don't have the first one to compare it against, but I love the fact that they went back to the power metal style after the more hard-rock influenced Majestic. Really nice, not nearly enough to unseat No World Order as my favorite album, but I'm starting to get into it quite nicely.

The first Land of the Free is much different from II - it's got many guest singers (like Michael Kiske) to start with, and I'd say it's a bit more bombastic, whether that's a good thing or not. I like both of them a lot.
Now: Asia "Phoenix" - pretty cool for a comeback after some 25 years!

I'll definitely look into getting that one. It's Gamma Ray, how can it be bad?
Clown Parade Annihilator Metal
Good grief, how this band never manages to stay at the top of the thrash heap is beyond me, this is awesome and I actually think it's one of the weakest songs on here. Top notch, 9.5/10 material here, definitely worthwhile and a perfect trifecta of modern releases along with All For You and the phenomenal Schizo Deluxe.

How'd you guys access this?
I closed it down.
Shame on both of you!
