For more crawly things - a sky full of maggots! - check out City Of The Living Dead: a great, totally WTF?! Fulci film.

I've got a review for City up in Review Hell if you want to compare notes when you're done, LDG, and expect a House by the Cemetery one up tomorrow ;D

For more crawly things - a sky full of maggots! - check out City Of The Living Dead: a great, totally WTF?! Fulci film. I'm REALLY not big on crawly things... But I added City to my rental list. Also added The Dead Next Door after seeing Slayrr's review...haven't read the reviews yet since they contained spoilers, but I'll add my two cents after I see them both. And I'll be waiting for your House By The Cemetary review slayrr. I think I have Cronos on the rental list next from the Viewing Suggestions list.

I'm not sure if they are spoilers or not, but I do that for IMDb, since all my reviews are put up there first before they come here. I sent House in on Monday, so it should pass by tomorrow morning. Judge it when you're done, love to have an opinion or not.

I think I have Cronos on the rental list next from the Viewing Suggestions list. Hey, that's great! Cronos is a fine, though flawed, film (the f/x don't always work) and I wonder what your opinion on it can be. Ron Perlman is wonderful there, that's for damn sure!

Ron Perlman is wonderful there, that's for damn sure! He's ALWAYS good! Been a fan of his since way back when he played Vincent on the Beauty & The Beast tv series.

Just finished watching Cronos...don't really know what to think about this one. The concept was pretty cool, but I just couldn't get in to it. Ron Perlman was good though, as he usually is.

I think the only problem with Cronos is that of some poor make up effects near the end. Other than that I enjoyed it a lot.

LDG, any luck with these? You seem to have disappeared with them.

Yeah, I got City of the Living Dead in the mail today so I'll probably watch it tonite. I'll let ya know what I think! There's been a wait on most of the ones I've been trying to get, so it's taking me awhile to get through them. I've been waiting to get Suspiria forever. It WAS available, but now there's a "long wait" on it again.

Sorry to hear that. Good luck with the other movies. Sucks sometimes, but you do what you have to, I guess.

Just finished watching City of the Living Dead. I really liked it (more than House by the Cemetary). Some pretty cool deaths...especially the gut puking, which even made me cringe a little.

I had a feeling you would like it, LDG. It's one of my favorite Fulci's, top 3 behind Zombie 2 and The Beyond. But still, this is one of my favorite films. Features one of the best and most suspenseful buried alive sequence I've ever seen.

Oh man, yeah, that buried alive scene creeped me out too. But I'm a bit claustrophobic so...
I added Zombie to the rental list...well it was listed as both "Zombie" & "Zombie 2" so I guess it's the same movie? I also added The Beyond, but Netflix says the release date is "unknown", so I don't know what's up w/ that.

I also added The Beyond, but Netflix says the release date is "unknown", so I don't know what's up w/ that. Dawn of the Dead was released in Italy as "Zombi" and the film we Americans know as "Zombie" was actually called "Zombi 2" in Italy, and intended to pick up on Dawn of the Dead's following. A rather sneaky and cheap move if you ask me. Zombie/Zombi 2 is still a good movie though.
