The Thirst-Still reeling after the death of his girlfriend, a man finds that she has instead been turned into a vampire and has joined a clan, but once he himself joins up with her, he disapproves of their lifestyle and helps her bring them down. A low-budget splatter-style vampire film, perhaps one of the goriest entries in the genre although none of it's realistic. Lots of action, some nudity here and there, and a pretty unique twist, though it does damage the whole history angle, but it's still pretty good.
The Uninvited-Returning home from a time in an insane asylum, a young woman and her sister's ghostly experiences convince them something isn't right with their father's new girlfriend, and take it upon themselves to figure out the truth behind the situation. Man, I didn't expect to enjoy this one as much as I did, just a simply awesome film. Fantastic mystery, engrossing storyline, marvelous twist-ending, great hauntings, just a little short on actual number, but I'll live with it. Highly enjoyable.
Dark Mirror-A woman and her family move into a new house, only to be confronted with a series of bizarre and increasingly more frightening visions that she finds is connected to a long-forgotten mystery involving the previous residents of the house. Not nearly as good as the previous one, but still getting a lot of good stuff in there, mainly the mystery angle which I'm always a sucker for. Some decent hauntings, a few nice kills, and it's all really just undone by it's tameness and relatively censored feeling. It's a lot better than expected, though.
Dinocroc vs Supergator-A hunter, a government spy, and a forest ranger team up together to battle the giant mutated crocodiles who have escaped from a top-secret research lab in Hawaii and are terrorizing the populace. Another fantastic entry for the Sci-Fi channel, getting a lot out of a goofy premise but it delivers solidly. Getting both creatures ample screen-time, some actual suspenseful stalking and a ton of action, as well as a fairly involved finale brawl between them that they usually skimp out on, this one delivered nicely.
Sea Snakes-Out on a delivery mission, a decommissioned submarine is ordered to pick up US Scientists conducting secret experiments on snakes from an island about to be in the center of a naval exercise and escort them back to US soil, but when the poisonous snakes get loose and the naval ships think the sub is an enemy, they try to hold off both threats at once to get their crew to safety. Highly entertaining, features a lot of good stuff about it, and actually manages to simultaneously mix a creature feature with a sub movie. Too much CGI, but I've seen a lot worse.

Gothic-A group of friends gather together at a remote mansion for a night of debauchery and good times, but they are soon experiencing weird visions and hellacious hallucinations that prove to them that something otherworldly is going on at the house. A potentially enjoyable old-school Gothic exercise, but instead is just so deadly dull and uninvolved that it's hard to care what goes on. Some great visuals, a few decent ideas and a couple could've been great scenes, but nothing here that really warrants much attention, which is a shame since this could've been really good.

The Broken-A series of strange incidents and visions has a woman believing that a psychotic stranger is invading her life, only to discover that something far more sinister is happening and she races to get it controlled before it harms her. Calling this one a horror film is such an extreme stretch I can't really do that, it's just so bad. Nothing is interesting, the twist is lame, there's no horror, it's an all-around disappointment.
From Within-When the local townsmembers suddenly commit gruesome acts of suicide, a young woman and her friends try to discover the cause of the strange incidents and find the shocking cause for their behavior. Ugh, this one sucked even worse than the other one. Although that one has problems calling itself a horror film, this one just doesn't do anything interesting, and besides the gore, the overly-animated religious angle in here just utterly dooms this one. Good premise, but lacks otherwise.

Grace-Even after her daughter is killed in the womb, a woman is shocked to find that it's alive when born, and it's increasing demand for blood draws her to extreme lengths to acquire it. I so, so wanted to like this one, but I can't say so. Too much crap that doesn't do anything if you're not emotionally connected to the subject matter, which just makes this one so dull. A couple good scenes, but nothing ground-breaking.
The Changeling-Going out to a large mansion to help his inspiration, a man finds that the ghost of his son is haunting the place and tries to help him before his childish antics turn far more dangerous. An overly-long and barely worthwhile classy horror film that rarely, if ever, tarnishes itself within the dirty world it's trying to pass itself off as but tends to stay far away so it can feel better about itself. Pathetic, a total cheat, and I don't really care about it all that much.

Haunted-Called out to a remote mansion, a professor specializing in the debunking of paranormal phenomena meets up with the eccentric members of the household as he tries to solve the mystery of why they claim a ghost is haunting the grounds. Some decent haunting scenes aside, this is really only worthwhile for the frequent, and utterly false, Kate Beckinsale nude scenes. Everything else is just a waste of time, too artsy and high-brow to want to be the horror film it so obviously wants to be.
The Shortcut-After a series of strange incidents, a teen and his friends decide to investigate the supposedly-haunted shortcut through the woods that is the base of an urban legend around town, and find that someone is intent on proving the legend true. Highly, highly impressive effort, tons of suspense, a lot of action, just no blood or gore. One of the better PG-13 adaptions around.
Vampire Clan-After finally being captured, a group of vampire-wannabes recount for the authorities the story of what happened that inspired them to commit the vicious murders in the first place. Ultra-lame story, not real vampires, high level of stupidity, I could go on-and-on about the problems of this one,, but it's just not worth it.
The Hearse-Following the death of her husband, a widow starts to believe that the black hearse she continues to see around her house is coming after her and tries to get others to believe her story, finally forcing her to confront the supernatural car once and for all. Nothing much here, just put an uncensored version in the collection to be able to finally toss my VHS copy once and for all. I usually have done that for DVD-only, but it’s a rare case and I’ll make an exception. I’ve said all this to avoid talking about the movie, so I guess you know what I thought if I’m going to all this to not talk about the film.

Summer's Moon-A young woman is kidnapped and captured by a psychotic man in a small town and is told she is part of a garden of captive women he has collected over the years, and tries to break free from the deadly situation. This wasn’t the total trainwreck I figured it to be based on the earlier information I knew about the film, but it still wasn’t that great either. The concept of how they come together and their relationship isn't interesting, the film features very few good parts and feels really dull for the most part. Still not that bad, but what I feared was the case turned out to be quite accurate even though I did enjoy it more than expected.
Left Bank-A woman moves into the apartment complex of her boyfriend in order to recoup after a health crisis, and finds that she is to be the sacrifice of a group of cultists celebrating an ancient pagan celebration, and tries to escape before the ritual can be completed. Takes way too long to get going, doesn't really have a whole lot of stuff that does work, but strangely, when it does, it's surprisingly good. The cult scenes at the end are it's best, which are quite good and really freaky, and the finale is quite enjoyable, and the fact that there's frequent full-body nudity doesn't hurt, but it's just way too long to get going and doesn't get all that much good stuff into it.

Twists of Terror-A crazed man attempting to explain the evils in the world tells three horror stories based on actual events: a husband-and-wife abducted in the woods by psychopaths, a hospital that is just slightly off-kilter, and a woman entering the dating world with a bizarre secret. A somewhat decent entry, with enough good stuff spread throughout each of the entries to really make something of this, but due to each one containing some sort of odd flaw, it just doesn’t hold up as much as it could’ve. Not bad, but certainly not all that great.

Zombie Honeymoon-After being bitten by a stranger during their honeymoon, a man suddenly begins to act incredibly zombie-like, killing and eating everyone around him, forcing his devoted wife to come to terms with his behavior. Not at all that enjoyable, save for a few moments of skin-eating and blood-drinking, otherwise this one tends to focus on outside areas that are just so far out of the norm that it's just plain boring. Needed a lot more of the traditional here in terms of zombiedom, and the changes brought about it aren't that great.
All Souls Day: Dia de los Muertos-On vacation in Mexico, a group of friends insult the local holiday celebrating the dead, who then rise from their graves and launch an assault on the town in vengeance for the behavior shown. A lot better than the first one, due to the adherence of sticking to the traditional rather than going off and exploring areas that won't make the cliches applicable. Great zombie looks, atmospheric situations, tons of gore, action, good stuff all around.

Magic-After finding success as a ventriloquist with a foul-mouthed dummy, his owner tries to take a vacation and get away from his influence on a trip to a remote cabin, only for a trail of bodies to complicate matters. Atmospheric and does well with the building up as to whether or not who's doing the killing, but otherwise there wasn't a lot here. Too long and overly concerned with the romance angle that takes time away from the killing, which isn't that interesting to me. Pretty good, but needed some work.
Spiker-When a vicious serial killer supposedly dies after escaping custody, a group of friends go out to his house in order to conduct a seance to reach him, only to discover too late that the ghost haunting the house trying to warn one of them away from the area may be right. Highly, highly enjoyable slasher, with a great killer, tons of cool confrontations and encounters, some suspenseful stalking and tons of blood. Needed to make up it's mind as to whether it was more of a reality-based film or a supernatural one, but otherwise, this one provided a lot of good.
Bones-Hired to clean up a derelict building, a group of friends are suddenly killed off one-by-one by the released soul of a 70s-era gangster who applies supernatural powers to his rampage in his quest to get free from the trappings within. Just really needed the uncut version to add to the collection, which was nicely appreciated. Much more suspenseful, better gore and some boobs thrown around as well. Can't complain about that.

Blood on Satan’s Claw-When a prehistoric skeleton is unearthed in a small village, the townspeople fall under the spell of a Satanic emissary who leads them into all sorts of deviant behavior, forcing the locals into drastic plans of action to stop the group. Really decent, middle-of-the-road British fare, highly atmospheric and pretty sleazy when it wanted to be, yet marred by the same exact languid pacing and failure to feel energetic so many of these films suffer from. Better than most, but still needs some work.

Secrets of the Summer House-After inheriting a mansion on a secluded island, a woman and her husband come to find a strange curse associated with the house that kills all who enter it. Strangely enjoyable Lifetime affair, not necessarily top-notch stuff but better than the average stuff they've aired in the past. Some good hauntings, a decent mystery and a healthy amount of suspense are bolstered by an eerie location where it all takes place, which is nicely appreciated and off-sets all the boredom that comes from the lack of attacks since it needs it's usual Lifetime moments. Overall, it was good, but it could've been better.

Rise: Blood Hunter-After being attacked by a vampire, a cop and the father of an earlier victim must fend off the advancing vampiric tendencies while tracking down the clan that turned her before they can initiate a plan to rule the world. Not that bad, actually, some nice blood and gore, good action scenes, and some semblance of traditionalism when dealing with the vampire rules, but it takes too long to get going and it gets a little lame at times toward the end. Better than expected, though.
The Last Sign-After her husband’s death, his wife starts to think he’s still hanging around the house and interfering with her attempts to move on in life, and despite feeling wrong at the prospect, tries to help him move on. Just utterly terrible, no horror, just a lame Lifetime drama that just so happens to feature a ghost. No blood, no scares, no nudity, there’s nothing in here. Skip this.

The Thaw-Arriving at a research center in the Arctic, a group of ecology students searching for a way to combat global warming instead fall under attack by a group of prehistoric parasitic insects that threaten the existence of the planet. An utterly, extremely disappointing effort, since there's a lot more flaws in here than there should be and only a few good parts to make it enjoyable. Really needed more work, which it shouldn't have had to do.
Goblin-Arriving in a small mountain town, a family finds that the local curse about a ravenous goblin-like creature terrorizing children is indeed true and must race to save their infant son from it's blood-filled rampage. A rather good creature feature effort, making use of some really creepy moments and a great motive for the creature to get some good moments in, the action is fair enough and the kills are great, but the usual Sci-Fi Channel affairs show up, so you know what this is like.
The Calling-After giving birth to an extraordinary child, a woman comes to believe that he has special Satanic powers, and tries to stop him from taking over the world through his deadly powers. Pretty decent and enjoyable affair, filled with a couple flaws but still managing to get a lot out of this one than it really should. Creepy and atmospheric at times, but it really needed a bit more action in the second half since it constitutes nothing more than running around for this segment instead of actually doing something, and the powers should've been expanded more, but it's not so bad.
Swamp Devil-A woman arrives in a small town to help clear her father, who's accused of murder, only to find the real culprit is a lot more monstrous than she figured and tries to stop it's revenge-fueled rampage. A really good creature feature, getting in the usual Sci-Fi channel style with some really good action scenes, a couple creature idea and some nifty gore effects, but a lot of unanswered questions and a few troublesome ideas do float in, so it's pretty much like normal.
Grizzly Park-A group of teens sent into the forest for community service fall victim to a rampaging bear killing them off one-by-one. A lot of fun, once it actually starts to focus on the bear attacks since they're so few and far between that utter boredom starts to creep in before the bear starts to attack. It does get a lot better once that starts to happen, but it just takes awhile to get there.
