Night of the Dead-While staying at his uncle's emergency hospital, a young doctor finds that his experiments with a special serum to reanimate dead flesh to save those who die during surgeries is causing them to crave human flesh, and he and his wife must escape from the rejects still undead in the basement when they get loose within. Low-budget zombie goodness here, nothing more, nothing less. Tons of good stuff from their make-up to the bloodletting and a rather intriguing storyline about the fate of the zombie experiments that is quite refreshing to see. Sure, the low-budget gets in the way sometimes, but it's still a lot of fun.

The Last House on the Left (2009)-After kidnapping, tormenting, raping and leaving their daughter for dead, her parents find the group of strangers seeking shelter at their house from a storm as the ones responsible and set out to avenge the misdeeds against their family. Well, I don’t really know what to say here. The first half is just criminally boring, not much of anything that kept my interest or really got me involved with what happened, and while it did manage to get a little better as it went along, I just really can’t say it was an entertaining film. It ‘s miles better than the original, though that’s not saying much, and while I can’t say it was terrible, I can’t say it was good either.

Don't Answer the Phone-While a psychotic maniac is conducting a rampage throughout the city, two police detectives plan to use one's radio-talk-show-host girlfriend as bait in order to nab the madman before it gets too far out of hand. Boring, bland and not-that-interesting early-80s slasher where the only thing interesting is the fact that the killer pulls open the shirt for everyone of his victims, necessitating nudity throughout from nearly everyone. The rest of this is just packed with tons of flaws that don't make this one all that worthwhile, and really only see this if you're a hardcore exploitation/80s slasher fan.
The Abandoned-Arriving in Russia to sort through her ancestral home, a woman finds that the ghostly dopplegangers of her and her brother are guarding a terrifying secret within the house and they must solve it before it can come to pass. Nothing really new here, just now I can add an uncut copy to the collection. Pacing is a little better this time around, but it's still unbearably confusing as not a whole lot is explained. Still really creepy and chilling, though.

The Slaughter-Hired to clean out an abandoned house for charity work, a group of teens accidentally unleash a race of ferocious demons intent on killing them all in hopes of releasing their queen so they can pave over human society. Man, this was just a blast, just all-around a ton of stuff that just appeals to me. Tons of blood and gore, plenty of action, a few middling pieces of suspense, some nudity, more blood and gore, and a pretty simplistic story. It's pretty cheap and shlocky, but there's plenty in here that works otherwise.
I’ve Been Waiting for You-When a young teen moves into a town with a long-buried secret of witchcraft, a series of strange accidents has them place the blame solely at her feet and try to avenge the wrongs of the past to save their future. Somewhat enjoyable made-for-TV entry, has a pretty engaging mystery with it's history of the town and the events that occur, as well as some pretty freaky moments spread throughout. Way too tame, a by-product of being made-for-TV as well as PG-13, but it's still pretty entertaining and not all that bad.

Kingdom of the Spiders-A small-town Arizona veterinarian finds that the recent spate of cattle and other animal deaths are due to a massive swarm of spiders running rampant in the countryside and must find a way to stop them before they overrun the town and it's residents. A lot of fun, with some really good stuff going for it. With attacks ranging from the suspenseful to the action-packed, it’s got a lot going on for it in the sheer numbers department, and the use of real creatures definitely makes them all the better. It’s so much fun it’s hard to believe all the human carnage comes in the last half-hour, which should’ve been fixed, but this was just a ton of fun so it’s forgiven.

Banshee!!!- A group of friends on a camping trip run across a farming family engaged in a deadly struggle with a legendary creature and are brought into the bloodsoaked war between both sides. Highly impressive and entertaining creature feature, with a lot of action, great kills, some fantastic suspense scenes and a truly original creature that makes for some great fun to be had. A lot of story problems, though, so this one does come down a bit, but frankly, there's a lot more to like here.
Duck Soup-Man, this one just never gets old. One of the all-time funniest films of all time, and if you can't laugh at Harpo and the peanut vendor's antics or the mirror sequence, you have no soul. Truly hilarious.

The Robot vs The Aztec Mummy-The finale of the series, about a doctor and his staff trying to fend off a gangster trying to steal the belongings of an Aztec tomb guarding by a living mummy, and eventually uses his hand-made robot to battle the creature. Cheapo Mexican Drive-In fare, really cheesy and painfully low-budget, though I have a strange sensation the original version, and not this badly-dubbed and hilariously-edited US version, is the better of the two, as there's hints of some real atmospheric scenes and has the potential to be quite enjoyable. I'd love to check that one out.
Doctor Blood's Coffin-Doctor's son, also a practitioner, arrives in his small-town to find a series of strange disappearances plaguing the locals and joins in the hunt for the madman. Ungodly dull and uneventful, features very little of actual interest and spends the majority of the time yakking instead of delving into action, even though the few interesting scenes are really good. A very problematic entry.

Wrong Turn 2-While out in the Virginia woods, a group filming the pilot for a survivalist reality TV show run across a group of deformed in-breed cannibals intent on killing and eating them all, forcing them into a real-life race for survival. An awesome, brutal, hyper-gory and entertaining slasher effort, much, much more enjoyable than expected and wasn't at all that bad except for one sequence most of you will spot easily. Beyond that, nothing wrong with this one.
The Seamstress-Intent on solving a burning family legacy, a woman and her friends stumble upon an evil, murderous ghost of a long-dead witch and begins to kill them off in revenge for the injustices carried out against her years ago. I'm not entirely sure what happened with this one, it was just so confusing and hard-to-follow I'm not sure what happened here. I'm taking a stab at the plotline and I spent the whole time watching it. I'll need a rewatch to truly know what happened here.
Malevolence-Retreating to a safe-house after a failed bank robbery, the robbers and the hostage family they've taken find themselves stalked by a maniacal killer who happens to live next door and must fight to get away. Really problematic slasher, wasn't really that interesting for a long portion of time, contained very little that was when it mattered, and frankly just didn't contain enough to make it worthwhile as the few good moments are far outweighed by the flaws here. A really middling effort.

This Night, I'll Possess Your Corpse-Still on a search to locate a bride, a sadistic undertaker kidnaps a group of women from his village and begins to torture them in order to weed out the one with the best chance of fathering his son, only for the not-so-understanding villagers to take up arms against him. Just a good-old-fashioned horror film, done on the cheap and filled with brutality and ingenuity over boredom and rather mundane, squeeky-clean feelings. From ingenious torture methods, tons of Gothic atmosphere, more gore than expected from the time and a spectacular finale, there's just nothing at all that wrong with this one. Impressive and enjoyable all the way through.
Awakening of the Beast-As Brazil is overrun with corruption, degradation and other assorted unwanted elements in society, a psychology professor believes the solution to be the Coffin Joe character portrayed in films, books, comics and TV shows, and to prove it, subjects volunteers to an experiment that results in them discovering a terrifying truth they couldn't imagine was real. Somewhat uneven film, as the first half, in black-and-white, is somewhat boring and seems to consist mainly of everyone hurling insults and laughing it off, but my God, the second half to this is just utterly beyond ridiculously entertaining. I can't begin to describe how good that stuff is and how much better this makes the film, as the entire sequence, over half-an-hour, in full color makes for a glaring change and just makes for a great time. Simply watch the last half, although the first half does set everything up.

At Midnight, I'll Take Your Soul-Tired of his life as a gravekeeper, a man begins a search for the perfect bride to carry on his legacy that cuts a swath of destruction through the village, eventually tempting the souls of the damned to rise and take revenge on him. An impressively atmospheric entry, one of the best of the type and certainly all the more enjoyable when it gets to employ them in over-the-top and incredible finale, but it’s pretty much that way all around, with great gore, some decent action and an unquestionably classic villain. Watching all the religious ranting isn’t that exciting, but that’s a rare exception and is pretty much just an all-around enjoyable effort.

Black Ops-A commando squadron investigates the strange radio emergency call from a naval prison ship and discovers the malicious spirit of a long-dead Nazi experiment haunting the ship and begins slaughtering the group before they can leave. A rather lame and ultimately event-less film, not featuring hardly any action at all, pretty crappy ones when it did showcase them, and not nearly enough to keep me interested in this. Skippable.
