SPOILERS GUARENTEED WITHIN, SO DON'T READ IF YOU, LIKE, DON'T WANNA KNOW
Does anyone else here watch 24? Personally, I'm obsessed with it and my friend and I used to talk about each episode everytime it was on. Lately, he's fallen behind in school so I don't have anywhere to say, "Oh my God, could you believe this happened?"
Thought I might bring it here if there were some other fans. If not, then I guess I can talk to myself for awhile before it's closed down.
But the spoilers start after this, so...read at your own risk...
Anyway, can you believe Tony was brought back in the last 5 minutes?! I was like, "HOLY SHIT, IT'S TONY!" I thought he was in prison because he went against the country last season to save his wife from terrorists (which was totally awesome. I would be so happy if my wife/girlfriend/boyfriend would do that for me). And he came back and popped off some baddies. Jack like placed a call on his cell phone and was like, "I'm calling in the only guy I can trust."
I thought it was going be Kim and/or Chase (I miss both of them, and especially Dennis Haysbert as the President. He was so awesome. This new guy has NO IDEA what he's doing). But it was Tony.
And then there is this Terrorist Family and Terrorist Teenager (as Dave Barry, who is also obsessed with the show, calls him) decides to desert his terrorist cause and that pisses off his dad who hires someone to kill him (what a father!) and he has to escape and his father shot his mother and they killed his girlfriend. God, it's insane.
And then there were some more bad fathers because Secretary of Defense Heller subjected his son (who has different politcial views than he) to torture to see if he knew any information because he was kidnapped at his house earlier. I swear, even though Jack doesn't think it, he's the best father on the show (maybe Dennis Haysbert was better because he nearly killed his wife for his kids) because he's always worried about Kim more than the freakin' country.
And if you're thinking 24 is attacking the Arabs this season as terrorists and stereotyping them, I think the main guy looks pretty American. And then it was Dennis Hopper as the bad guy in Season 1 and then...don't remember what nationality it was in Season 2 but the Muslims came to their aide a lot, Season 3 was some Mexicans with a deadly virus...so it shows all sorts of terrorists from everywhere.
I'm still recovering from tonight's awesome episode and the adreneline is still pulsing through my veins.
I guess I'll be back next Monday to announce what went down.

I'm a fan. I like the whole concept of the show 1 day = 24 hours = 24 episodes. I will buy Season 4 when its released onto dvd. Even though most of the main characters just vanished, this doesn't bother me if you think about the concept of the show & who it follows. Spoiler for Season 4I believe its the first episode, when Jack gets fired from CTU & just as the lady offers him another position in the company, Jack says to her "I can find my own fucking job, thank you"

I too love the show!
I started watching in Season 2, bought Season 1 on DVD and loved it too. I've enjoyed all the seasons, although I have to say so far I've LOVED what they've done this season. It seems they have a HUGE budget for the show (lots of explosions, etc.).
And I was pretty shocked too that Tony was the one Jack called too, Pulp. This show and LOST are my must-see-TV shows.

I skipped all your spoilers. ;D I've never watched the show. Unfortunately, I missed the first couple of episodes when they aired and didn't want to start watching after I'd missed a couple. I plan to someday rent the first season and check it out.

SPOILER ALERT
Tonight's episode was what I call a "filler episode." Some loose ends needed to be tied up from the previous episode, so there wasn't that much suspence. Jack spent the majority of the episode with Tony trying to decode something. Turns out Tony took a turn for the worse, pushed all his friends away, including his wife (whom I would like to see again myself), became an alcoholic and started dating some whore bartender girl.
They found out there was a mole at CTU, but got the wrong girl until the end, when chasing the girl down they arressted her and some guy went to check out her car and as soon as he put the key into the lock, it exploded (which was quite shocking).
Terrorist Mom and Son went to the hospital to treat the mother because she got shot. Of course, their story didn't fly and the cops are after them "for their protection."
At the end, Jack got the guy his girlfriend identified, but he was convienently shot by a sniper, so Jack is SOL for the time, but makes next week's look like an action-packed suspense extravaganza.

I feel like such a geek, but since my friend stopped watching this because "he doesn't have time" I need to talk about it to SOMEONE.
Oh my God, tonight's 24 was awesome. Jack got to Terrorist Mom (as Dave Barry refers to her) and told her that he could save her son. And she's like, "I believe in our cause, but I love my son, so fuck the terrorists." That's a mother right there.
The boy went to a hospital where a family member works and tried to get drugs to help his mom. But the family member sold him out and then got shot by terrorist dad who is a total douche bag. And now Jack has to save the boy to get the information out of the mother to stop the rest of the nuclear reactors from meltdown, because one has already melted down and another guy's mother is stuck there and he's all depressed and to save the country Jack has to save this 17-year old boy, on the condition that the boy gets to go free when it's all over, which was looking good until the President (who is no Dennis Haysbert and has no idea how to run anything or to even trust Jack without barley thinking about it, idiot) is like, "Make sure that contract is unbondable" or something like that.
And the dad got hold of the son and took him to the basement to murder him (he's a douche bag) and now Jack has to save the kid and then it ended and I was pissed. Why must I wait a week? So awesome...
Well, I'm still the only one really talking, but like I said, no one else I'm close to watches it and I have to vent it off, and the guys on IMDb are idiots.

What about next week previews?!? Where Jack does like a Mission Impossible (on the ropes) to get to the kid/terrorist dad! AWESOME!
I really liked too how the contract is 'non-bindable.'
The only thing I thought was a bit cheesy was Edgar and his mom's wanting to kill herself bit before the radiation hits her. I understand they probably need those tidbits in there to lengthen the show but does anyone really care? We want to see Jack!

LIKE THE TERRORIST ATTACK, THE SPOILER ALERT IS STILL IN EFFECT.
So again, Jack Bauer started the show by kicking some major ass. First he saved terrorist boy who shot terrorist dad (causing a giant whoop and hazzah! to shoot out of me) and now CTU has them for some brief questioning.
But, as fans know, getting the information wouldn't be that easy because terrorist mom (one great mother, can't deny it) only knew where some plans were being planned. So now Jack has to go out and figure more stuff out.
And Audrey's husband is probably working for the terrorists and his interrogation will be next week. Tony has come back from being the snivelling bum he was when first introduced and is now kicking some major ass. Which is awesome. Though I would have rather seen Michelle again.
Eric Drischall is trying to get people to side with her by hiding the fact she's a total bitch, but her eyes give it away.
Oh, and Curtis went out with the Traitor Lady to get some computer information and was ambushed my three guys with shotguns. So now Curtis is in custody and Traitor Lady is dead. Ha. What got me was that there was this full CTU team out there who couldn't handle 3 guys?
Still, greatest live-action show on TV right now.

Again, it's Monday so it's time for my weekly update.
Tonight's episode was, awesome. Yeah. I praise every single one of them (for the most part), but this one was full of intensity and suspense and edge of your seat action.
Jack got a confession out of Audrey's husband, who had leased a building to the terrorists unbeknowest to him, where Curtis was currently being held captive. Just as the terrorists were about to kill him he breaks fear, kills them and is on the loose.
The terrorist leader comes to the building to meltdown the other plants and all this information is spread out all through CTU and Jack falls upon it in his own way, so he heads off to the building to get the override device.
Tony also questions former terrorist mom (who, as I just found out, played the wife in House of Sand and Fog, and her son in that movie plays her son in this show, too) and gets more information out of her, including terrorist leader.
So Jack arrives and he and Curtis try to find terrorist leader, but they don't know exactly what he looks like, leading to some tense scenes as the clock at the bottom of the screen reminds us that we are desperatley running out of time.
They find him and he runs away so Jack goes in pursuit while Curtis and Edgar figure out how to override the override, and things finally are looking up. Except terrorist leader is dressed as a CTU agent and is popping them off while Jack is just going insane.
And then, Drischall's daughter has been acting up for the last hour because, well, she's a schizo, and wants some attention that her mom won't give because she's trying to stop a nuclear device from killing a zillion billion people, so her daughter commits suicide, which sucks, but I kinda saw it coming. It was still kinda sad.
Anyways, it doesn't look like it's over yet because in the preview for next week, I'm pretty sure I saw a nuclear bomb...yes!

First and foremost, I'm an idiot and obviously don't know what a nuclear bomb looks like, because it wasn't a nuclear bomb that was being set off. It was an EMP.
But I'm getting ahead of myself. The episode started with Marwaun, the Head Terrorist getting away. So CTU is looking for him. Then Erin Drischall's daughter committed suicide (at the end of last week's episode) so now she's all depressed and actually...human. I mean, come on, she was a total bitch at the beginning of the season, amazing what a suicide can do. I was thinking, "Wait, I'm actually feeling sorry for her?" So Erin leaves and Tony is reinsated as a temporary director of CTU, which was really awesome. Let's face it, Tony was just cool.
So Jack and Paul, Jack's girlfriend's husband, have gone to this company to figure out exactly what Head Terrorist has been up to. The CEO and his croons realize that CTU is going to find some bad stuff about them, and the croons convince the CEO to not show Bauer or Paul anything. So they're messing with their files, trying to stay a step ahead of Paul and Jack. But Paul is too good, and Edgar is better than everyone else. Seeing that they're screwed, the CEO and his croonies decide to set off an EMP, which will wipe out all electronical stuff in this 8 block radius around their company.
Luckily, through the miracle of Instant Messager, Jack and Paul get some information before everything starts going into strobe effect mode (which made the fights look really awesome, by the way, as Jack beat up the two guards and everything). But the croons don't want that so they're chasing Jack and Paul and the last we see of them, as the EMP goes off and everyone's fucked, is the security guard croon taking Paul as a hostage.
The last thing that happened tonight made me shout with joy. Michelle was brought back. That's right! Tony's ex-wife. The bringing back of Tony must have went down well because they brought Michelle back. I bet they had this planned from the beginning though, but it was still awesome. She was such a cool character.
The last 20 minutes were so intense, it was great. And the preview for next week shows the croon's calling in some Marines or something so Jack'll have to take them out. Which is cool.
As for Head Terrorist, the only thing we see of him after his mission is complete is that he tells another Terrorist that the thing at the Air Force will still go down. Oh...more mystery...

I thought that EMP think looked a bit cheesy! Like it was pulsing and glowing green...this isn't the X-Men it's 24!
I did think it was cool Michelle is back though.
Tony's line "I used to be married to her," was great.

Yeah, it's a bit late in the reply in everything, but Monday I was committing something to film but I recorded the episode and finally got to watch it.
It relied on tension more than anything else. Jake and Paul take uphold in a sporting goods store because it offers, you know, weapons and shelter and the two guys who work there, who are Arab and want to help clear the names of the Arabs showing that not all are terrorits, decide to help them fight.
Michelle takes over right away. I mean, she doesn't even breathe before she's starting to shout orders. One of the first things she does is get rid of Sarah, who wants compensation for her false accusation earlier (which I was happy with, though a bitchy move from Michelle, Sarah was always an annoyance so I wasn't sad to see her go).
The corporation that Jack and Paul found information from now has sent out a bunch of mercenary commandos after them, which is where the tension is coming from as we wait for them to come. Jack decides that the best way to do anything will be to start a shootout so CTU will now their position. But Michelle must have lost some IQ over the past couple years or something, because Tony predicts Jack's plan, but she blows off Tony and gives her order, even though she's been through stuff like this with Jack a ton of times. She knows Jack, too, but she's not THINKING.
Well, their was a shootout and an amazing thing happened...the store clerks weren't killed off (something I thought would happen because there were a couple of minutes of characterization for them, which is usually a sure sign something wicked is coming). But the head security guy shot Paul at the end, and we don't know if he's going to die or not.
And Head Terrorist hasn't been keeping cool either, he's now got a pilot who looks like he's about to pilot Air Force One...this would be a lot more intense if Dennis Haysbert were still the President, but this new guy is totally retarded and I don't think the suspence will be as great.
Anyways, until MONDAY!

Again, it was about the tension. So tonight wasn't really action-packed or anything, but a lot of stuff had to happen.
So now Paul is under the knife after getting shot. The doctors are waiting for a neursurgeon because a bullet is teasing his spine and Audrey is finding she likes him even more so I'm betting her and Jack's relationship will be called off.
CTU is beginning to be controlled by the older characters, as Michelle comes in and Tony and Chole comes back to help out Edgar, who isn't working as best he can.
Jack takes Deena (terrorist Mom) to get Marwan and she helps because he promises her that she'll go through Witness Protection to save her and her son. Deena's probably been my favorite new character this year. She's strong and smart and doesn't take shit from anyone, including her husband and Marwan. She just wants her son to be safe, which is a good mother right there.
So they find Marwan and he tells Deena to kill her but she doesn't and tries to kill the head terrorist so they take her away and shoot her behind a wall (I don't wanna think she's dead yet because you can't trust this show unless you see the bullet enter the body, but I could be in denial about losing one of my favorite characters) an Jack is taken away.
What's going to happen next? Only next week will tell.

I was glad to see Chloe back...she's so awkward and kinda bitchy but she's more real-life than most people on the show. She makes a good contrast to can't-act Edgar too.
