Anyone see last Wednesday's episode? Much better than the season premiere, and one of their stronger episodes.

Always nice to get a little more backstory on some of the characters, Sun & Jin in this case, especially after you think you already know almost everything about them. Sayed is definitely underestimating The Others though, as they basically waltzed right through his "trap".

The thing about The Others that's getting me is that they're not as strong and tough as we thought. It only seems a few of them are like Ethan and co. And why do they keep saying they're the good guys? Could they be being played too?
I didn't like Jin at first, but now he's one of my favorite characters.

Yes, Wednesday's was an excellent episode! Once again I agree with frank - and not only him in this case. A fine episode this time: with surprises, with the plot finally moving forward and Kate looking sexier than ever.

...and Kate looking sexier than ever. Kate in a dress gets a thumbs up from me as well.

Last night's episode: Wow! SPOILERS!So was Locke a member of a militia group? And was that drugs in those packets in the greenhouse? I couldn't quite make it out. And what about the return of Boone? Nice way to give him a comeback cameo. Kind of a spiritual guide to Locke. Sort of an Obi-Boone Kenobi. And notice how they subtley introduced two more crash survivors last night near the end of the episode? A guy with dark hair and a blonde girl we'd never really seen on-screen before who suddenly had speaking roles. Good episode!

***SPOILER BELOW**** It was definitely a pot-growing depo, not a militia group. A+ episode again though. Always enjoy the John Locke backstories. Next weeks episode looks good too.

SPOILERS
What kinda community was that?
I think that's been the best episode so far this season. Like Phoenix, Locke is a fascinating character, especially because of how many times he gets raped and betrayed and screwed over.

I liked the episode but not as much as last weeks.
SPOILERS
What I want to know is after he THOUGHT he knew his dad and he stole his kidney so know he's trying to figure himself out, thus putting himself in new shoes.
And also, does Locke REALLY believe in destiny or is he trying something else on for size?

SPOILERS!
Locke is still my favourite character and I liked the fact that this episode was full of him and his flashbacks but... THE POLAR BEAR SUCKED! Okay, so - AGAIN - it's chasing the characters and then it turns out to be the poor fat guy, not the bear; a disappointment - but I could forgive them that; the scene in a cave, however - with the poorly CGI-ed bear running away from Locke's hairspray - was an embarassement, both technically and logically - much in the vein of Sci-Fi Channel's worst efforts.
Are you guys so in love with the series that you refuse to notice such things?

The polar bears have always looked fake to me.

Honestly, I've never watched this show for the quality of the effects. They are strictly secondary to the story, the acting, the character development and just the whole mystery of the series. And we're talking tv special effects in comparison to major motion picture, ie: big budget, effects. The polar bears have never been on screen that much to really stand out as poor effects, in my eyes. The most important effects to the series imho, are the crashing of the plane, and that I thought they pulled off pretty brilliantly on a tv budget.

You could go so far as to say the polar bears have something to do with Walt and how he sees them in that comic book (because IS IT a coincidence that the polar bears appear when Walt is upset?) and that they don't reflect actual polar bears but something conjured from a comic book. And the one that attacked was probably left over from season one....
Of course, that's just a good way to cover your ass.
BUT the secruity system looked cool.

I'll tell you this: if they managed to make the bear attack in this episode suspenseful, I think Lost would be back in my good books. But they fucked up big time and I'm not going to cover their asses for them, now way.
