I hope by "They", they mean "They Live"... I heard "They" was a horrible movie. "They" did suck. Same dull atmosphere and trying-too-hard feel that you get from crap like Jeepers Creepers, feardotcom, and most of Hollywood's (mostly PG-13) horror films. Wes Craven is worthless.

I knocked "The Warriors" off my list of these cult films this weekend. I think it probably does deserve cult status. VERY UNIQUE film with the silliest tough gangs and littlest plot I've ever seen.

They really are some of the silliest gangs, aren't they? The "baseball" gang? The "lesbian" gang? The "mime" gang? Hilarious! The movie's fun though. Looking back at my unwatched list, I have still not seen even one of those movies I hadn't yet seen back when this thread was started. IFC is a good channel to catch cult movies though. Uncut, unedited, commercial-free and often in widescreen.

I've seen most of those movies, except "Harold and Maude" or "Faster, Pussycat!" I am surprised that UHF isn't on the list though.

I've seen most of those movies, except "Harold and Maude" or "Faster, Pussycat!" I am surprised that UHF isn't on the list though. It is #56 on the list. After the first 50 were published Entertainment Weekly got a huge amount of mail about movies people believed were robbed of not being a top 50 cult film. They added onto the list ten more films, based on the number of letters each movie received. UHF was one of them. I agree it deserves the cult status!

Last night we watched the remastered DVD of Re-Animator.
Great cult classic material. A+
As violent and dirty as any movie brought out today - and still very very funny. Stands the test of time for sure.
