Is Watchmen really the "greatest comic book of all time"? I haven't read any of it. I haven't either, but that's what I hear. It's definitely on my "to read" list though.

From the New York Post Online Edition:
Halle Berry won an Oscar for "Monster's Ball," so naturally she wants an Oscar-sized paycheck. But Berry's financial demands may be too much for the producers of "X-Men 3." OK! magazine reports that Berry has "priced herself out of the role" by demanding more screen time and a bigger paycheck. Shame, since after the cinematic kitty litter that was "Catwoman," she could use a hit.
Not very smart on her part. Her James Bond character Jinx didn't get her own spin-off movie like was rumoured and both GOTHIKA and CATWOMAN tanked at the box office. X-MEN 3 is an almost guaranteed hit.

Yup, it ain't smart at all. But I wouldn't mind more screen time for her character in X-Men 3... Maybe she just sticks to that part, forgets about the dollars and voila - we'll have the sexiest X-Men movie ever!

I'm going to be terribly lazy and not read the whole thread as it's late and I'm tired.
I went for Batman, as I ignore Forever and Robin.
The first two are without doubt the best comic book adaptations for me, and the first sits in my top twenty movies, period.
Algo
P.S. sorry to be lazy

From IMDB:
Columbia TriStar Home Entertainment has scheduled Nov. 30 as the release date of the Spider-Man 2 DVD. The original Spider-Man movie landed in video stores in October and ultimately took in $400 million in sales and rentals, matching what the movie did theatrically.

I'm going to be terribly lazy and not read the whole thread as it's late and I'm tired. It's cool, algo. We'll think of a punishment for you. But since not everyone would admit to skipping the rest of the thread - bravo for honesty, at least. Still haven't seen Spider-Man 2, by the way. Next week it opens, as far as I know.

I haven't seen it yet either. I'm so behind on my movies.

For those who liked Daredevil (like me), here's a first look at the spinoff, Elektra... looks like it could be better than Daredevil. www.themoviebox.net/movies/2005/DEFGH/Elektra/firstlook/Requires Quicktime to play. So to recap, Old and busted: Halle Berry in a dominatrix outfit and a cat mask. New hotness: Jennifer Garner in a less slutty yet still sexy outfit and sais... and there's even a scene where she uses a bow and arrow.

Yeah, let's hope so. I didn't hate DAREDEVIL, but let's say I found it to be lacking. Should've been much darker.

Well, it looks like J.C. (Not Jesus Christ. Jim Caviezel!) himself may be playing Superman, after all. From IMDB:
Caviezel Poised To Sign Superman Deal The Passion Of The Christ star Jim Caviezel may be ready to sign a deal to star as Superman in the long-awaited new film Superman Returns. The hunky actor - who movingly portrayed Jesus in Mel Gibson's controversial epic - is said to be very close to an agreement with studio Warner Bros. despite his agent's recent insistence the part had not yet been offered to him. Big name stars such as Jude Law, Josh Hartnett and Brendan Fraser have already been offered, and turned down, the role. However, according to respected comic book author Mark Miller, Caviezel's participation is all but guaranteed. He writes, "You remember I told you to relax about Superman? That a very, very trusted and experienced director we'd all love was coming over? That everything would be fine? Well, my same good buddy has informed me that Jim Caviezel is officially the new man of steel and what a perfect choice he is. Expect an announcement shortly."

Jim Caveizel could be decent. I still think it would help the film to have an unknown, but this is a good idea if they are set on casting a star. I was really worried some young actor would end up being cast. Superman needs to be more of an adult in my opinion.

Caviezel is an alright choice. Much better than Brendan Fraser or - especially - this bland, bland, bland Josh Hartnett. Oops. I hope livingdeadgirl is not a fan of Josh's. I seem to be criticising all her favourite actors lately.

Nah, never been a fan of Hartnett.

I'm going to leave this thread open so people can continue to vote in the poll and maybe give their opinion behind their choice, but would appreciate it if any new rumours, articles or links regarding this topic, comic adaptations, were posted in "COMIC BOOK TO MOVIE SCREEN: PART 2. Thanks! Heineken Skywalker
