looks pretty awesome! just judging from those pics, it doesn't look as....how can i put it, "cartoony" as the other BM movies. But it has been awhile since I watched the others, I can't even remember who played him in the last movie. I haven't seen much of Christian Bale's work except for "Little Women" & the bits & pieces of "American Psycho" that I've seen...

"I can't even remember who played him in the last movie."
George Clooney.
Val Kilmer & Michael Keaton were before him. I thought the various actors who played Batman were fine, it was director Joel Schumacher, who ruined the Batman franchise with his over the top sets, situations & costumes. (Nipples on the costumes! Mr. Freeze (Schwarzenegger) looked like a giant Christmas tree! Ice skates that popped out of Batman & Robin's boots! Gotham City went from dark & Gothic to looking like Times Square on New Year's Eve! The last Batmobile had more flashing lights than a Vegas casino! What happened to stealth?) Need I go on?

Did you see MST3K's take on Batman and Robin? It was on the first Summer Blockbuster Review.
"I bring you great tidings of joy!"

Just scenes. They did two summer blockbuster review episodes (I wish they did more), in 97 and 98.
Saving Private Ryan, The Fifth Element, Armageddon, Batman and Robin, Deep Impact, Halloween "Water" (H20), Ever After, Pi, the X-Files Movie, and more.
They also did... actually, they couldn't because it was big budget and I guess they feared a lawsuit... but instead, they made their own movie. Goshzilla. And it was Matthew Broderick free!

OHH yeah, now I remember! Maybe I was just WANTiNG to forget the other movies. I agree, the actors were good, but the rest, not so much.

From IMDB: The full cast of anticipated movie The Fantastic Four is expected to be announced next week, with actor Michael Chiklis (The Shield, The Commish) remaining as favorite for the role of The Thing. (The movie, which follows the exploits of mutant astronauts Reed Richards, Susan Storm Richards, Benjamin Grimm and Johnny Storm, better known as Mr. Fantastic, the Invisible Woman, The Thing and the Human Torch - will begin filming in August). Producer Avi Arad, who will bring the Marvel Comics favorites to the big screen, is expected to make the public announcement about the movie, which will be helmed by Barbershop director Tim Story. Fantastic Four creator Stan Lee says, "Chiklis is tough and rugged, yet he has a likable quality - and that's The Thing." Mean Girls star Rachel McAdams is emerging as a likely choice to play Sue Storm. Arad hints, "She'd be great. We like her a lot."I wonder if The Thing will be the actor in some kind of Thing costume or a CGI creation with the actor only providing the voice. I hope it's CGI as The Thing in the comics is much larger and not proportioned like a normal human. Then again, there are people who still insist that The Hulk in the recent movie should've been a bodybuilder painted green. (??!!??) But I digress. Oh, and from the director of BARBERSHOP??!!

"Variety reports that Quentin Tarantino is taking an interesting paycut.
The trade reports that the "Kill Bill" director is receiving only $1 for his work on Robert Rodriguez' "Sin City." But it's all in good fun: Rodriguez only got $1 for doing the score for "Kill Bill, Vol. 2"."

So, who's seen SPIDER-MAN 2? I thought it was great! Pretty much everything you could want from a comic book or summer movie. I thought it was as good as the original, but with better effects. It drags a little bit in the middle, with too much focus on Aunt May and the whole situation between Peter Parker & Mary Jane. The whole "will they get together or won't they" thing starts to get a little old. Alfred Molina is great as Doctor Octopus and isn't just a cackling villain as his character is developed much more than he was in the comics. Would've liked to have see even more of him. As far as action goes, the fight scenes between Spidey & Doc Ock are truly something to behold. They look like they're right out of the comics, with the characters going at it on the streets, the sides of skyscrapers, and even a subway. On a side note: Realistically, I don't think Parker needs to drop everything everytime he hears a police siren. He lives in New York for Christ's sake! How often do you think people who live there hear a siren of some kind? I think it's safe to let the authorities handle typical thieves and burning buildings and Spidey can take on the supervillains and other situations that are a little out of the ordinary. "With great power comes great responsibility", but even Spider-Man has to get some sleep sometime. 8/10

How often do you think people who live there hear a siren of some kind? Quite often, I'd say. Good point. I'm looking forward to seeing it and I hope I like it as much as you did, Heineken. Was your grade for the first Spider-Man also 8/10?

Speaking of Spider-Man! According to IMDB: COMING SOON: SPIDER-MAN: THE MUSICAL
Producer Tony Adams, a longtime associate of producer-writer-director Blake Edwards in such films as the Pink Panther movies, 10 and Victor/Victoria, is planning to bring Spider-Man to Broadway in a musical. Citing sources close to the project, Daily Variety reported today that plans call for the musical to be written by Neil Jordan (Mona Lisa, The Crying Game, Interview With The Vampire) and directed by Julie Taymor, who translated Disney's The Lion King to the stage. The songwriters are likely to be U2's Bono & The Edge.Hmm. This is one of the strangest things I've ever heard in the history of strange things I've heard.
