Don’t be mislead. We’re not gonna talk here about The Alien or Aliens movies only. That’s why I excluded them from the poll . There is a plentitude of others creatures with which there was a lot more interaction. Sometimes friendly like in E.T. or less like in Predator, but in the case of the alien creatures listed above their behaviour was more complex exceeding the ALIENS which were just animals on loose attacking and gathering people to treat them like a food for new generation of little aliens ;D. That’s the place where you can write about your fave alien creatures, species, entities, organisms and God knows how you gonna call it. Here’s the place to boast about the knowledge of the Klingon language, Yoda craft or Chewbacca personality. I am a fan of sci-fi stuff largely because you may find all kinds of intriguing aliens there. I love to see and imagine the alien civilizations, their ways of understanding the world, fancy alien shapes and ships, way they breath, in short everything that is alien arouse me. That’s the essence of the best SF. I’m deeply distressed that I could only present 8 alien characters but that’s the upper limit of the poll. There are many more so don’t feel constrained to write only about those I mentioned in the poll. It was a tough task for me to choose the best character. Because I’m almost Trekkie I chose the character from the best part of it – Star Trek The Next Generations – Lt. Worf. I love the way he behaves, cultivates his culture and interacts with other shipmates. His code of honour is something particularly appealing to me. His makeup is very good too. I also love some other characters from Star Treks like: Q, Constable Odo, Major/Col Kira Nerys Dr. Phlox, Subcommander/Commander T’Pol.

Being the nerd that I am, this poll is way too difficult for me to answer yet. I will have to think about it....

I went with "OTHER". I think the most obvious alien hero was missed in this poll. How about Kal-El of the planet Krypton?? That's right, Superman! The greatest hero in popular culture is also an alien, but I think people often forget that because he looks human. And as for STAR WARS heroes, Jar Jar, really? Chewbacca's okay, but what about Yoda? Great warrior and head of the Jedi council.

Only 8 to choose from plenitude of Aliens. But, on the other hand you're right with Superman I haven't thought about him But Yoda is another matter. I wanted to include him in the poll but of 8 options 3 would be SW characters and that would have impaired the diversity. Why Jar-Jar and not Yoda? Personally I hate Jar Jar while Yoda is one my fave SW characters. But to many younger viewers Jar Jar is a primary choice. To be more impartial then I included Jar Jar instead of Yoda.

I voted "OTHER" but honestly, can't think of what I want to go with. But Jar-Jar? Come on, Spacer! If you're going with a "less obvious" Star Wars character, why not choose Jabba the Hutt or the Rancor??? I'll try to come up with a favorite alien for you though... The grays in Communion? The aliens in Fire in the Sky? The mouths with feet in Dreamcatcher? The Tommyknockers? War of the Worlds (50's) aliens? The Monolith (2001, 2010)? The explorer aliens from A.I.? The Spaced Invaders!!! (hell no!) Crankhor? (MST3K fans will catch this) Starman? Okay, I can't think of any more...

I chose other and I am specifying Gazoo from The Flintstones. Yes, that's right dumb dumbs, Gazoo. He was sarcastic and witty and always made me laugh. He considered Fred and Barney playthings, but he also helped the out as well. Whatta guy!
I guess Chewie would be my second favorite.

Gazoo. You've surprised me Sybill A very unusual choice. Third rock: Yes Quorthon what a stunning show Hey, where else can you see John Lithgow re-enact a bunch of his dramatic roles in a comedic fashion? And just for the nerds: On "3rd Rock from the Sun," Dick (John Lithgow) looked out the window of a commercial plane and saw something on the wing. When the Big Giant Head (William Shatner) showed up, he claimed the same thing when his plane landed. Why is this funny? Go!

Okay, Shatner played a passenger on a plane who sees a creature, a gremlin, on the wing of the plane, but no one believes him, on the original "Twilight Zone" tv series. Lithgow played a passenger on a plane who has the exact same thing happen to him, in "Twilght Zone: The Movie". Do I win a prize? Maybe the title, King Sci-fi Nerd For a Day?
