Finished Cell last night. Very good once it got going. But the end kinda leaves you hanging...and it doesn't really explain exactly what happened...or actually who or what did it. Makes me wonder if he'll do a sequel...

Finished "Vengeance" yesterday. It was pretty good, in a the Truman Capote--non-fiction novel like fashion. The action scenes are more intense in the movie and sometimes Jonas goes off on these random tangents about terrorists and terrorism (he is a journalist so...), but it's a pretty good read. B.
For class I read Jane Austin's "Sense and Sensibility," which had maybe three parts that made me laugh out loud then everything else was BORING. So much talking and whining and crying and bitterness and professions of love and Christ knows what else. All through reading it I was like, "God, maybe I should go look up the SparkNotes...NO! THAT'S CHEATING!!" then I'd miss entire passages from the book but the hell with going back to read them again! Austin just doesn't do it for me. The group I'm in for class suggested that the ending could've been a lot better if Marianne had contracted a flesh-eating virus and turned into a zombie or something. Or even better...if Edward and Willoughsby were gay for EACH OTHER; that would've been a great plot twist. But no. Everything works out happy in the end. Man, when the Southerners burn books they always seem to burn the wrong ones.
Now I'm reading that audaciously titled "Eleanor Rigby" by Douglas Coupland.

Finished the Da Vinci Code just now. A great read, difficult to put down. Looking forward to the movie - I couldn't have picked a better cast myself.

Am I the only one who hates that book here?
I finished "Eleanor Rigby" last night, which was funny but really sad. For some reason I pictured Wendy the Snapple Lady as the main character. But it is a good read. I'd say try it out with a B+.
Now, FINALLY, I'm starting "Jonathan Strange & Mr Norrell."

Finished Primal Scream this week. Wow! Great one! One of my favorites from Slade so far. Didn't see the twist coming at the end...very suprising.

I just breezed through "Lightning" by Dean Koontz and "Farenheit 451" by Ray Bradbury.
Now I'm onto "Great Expectations" by Charles Dickens and "American Justice: Great Crimes and Trials" by Paul Begg and Martin Fido.

Haven't been in a "novel" mood lately. Just paging through "Oddballs and Eccentrics." A book about histories more memorable loonies. It's organized rather oddly, and you can't look up anyone in an index. So, it's kind of a chore. But entertaining.

I finished "Jonathan Strange and Mr Norrell" which was a very good book and so very British. Oh them Brits! I liked it, so I give it a B+ (it was really long).
Now I'm re-reading "Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince."

Choke from Chuck Palahniuk, author of Fight Club. It's a trip so far.

I've finished "Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince" again and as everyone here probably knows, I'm a Potter fan and this is my third favorite at the moment.
I picked up today "A Dirty Job", the new novel by Christopher Moore. I read a couple pages on the bus coming home, but it was already so funny and I was getting strange looks that I decided it was better to just put it away for a bit.

You're gaining on me Slade-wise, Livingdeadgirl! Didn't yet manage to go through this one - I need more TiMeEeeEeEE! ...and I have to get some stuff by Chris Moore, too, at last.
