By the way, if you haven't read " House of Leaves" you should do so now. This book is damn expensive whereever I can find it! Last time I considered buying it during my trip to Paris but then decided to buy three other books instead - for the price of House.

Really? It's like, 20 bucks here in the States, which is about five dollars more than your average trade paperback book (the ones that are the same size as hardcovers...but paperbacked). I think it's because there's so much color put into it. Libraries are handy. I started reading it from a library copy but decided I loved it so much I went out and bought the thing.

Tell me how good Slaughter is, Livingdeadgirl. And enjoy Wolves - one of my faves in the Dark Tower series.
Myself I just ordered King's Lisey's Story. Heard it's great.

I don't have much interest in Reading any of the above King. The next King book I look forward to reading is his next novel, "Duma Key."

Tell me how good Slaughter is, Livingdeadgirl. . Well, if this one is as good as her others, it should be excellent! When does Lisey's Story come out? I looked at it on Amazon & it was still pre-order.

I understand your lack of interest in The Dark Tower series... but why would Lisey's Story turn you off?
...oh and: Lisey's Story came out TODAY, I think. I pre-ordered it, too.

This is undoubtable the coolest board I have ever had the pleasure to join!!
You people have read HOUSE OF LEAVES!!!!
And by incredible co-incidence (if such a thing is real), I had the pleasure of meeting Mark Z Danielewski last weekend at the Toronto International Festival of Authors.. what a cool guy, and of course I got my copy signed and picked up his new book ONLY REVOLUTIONS which is an incredible reading experience so far....and the last book (but by far the least) I got...

Yes. I met Danielewski a couple weeks ago too. He's a pretty cool dude.
And Only Revolutions is good. I don't think I was as amazingly amazed as I was by his first book (I mean, it is my second favorite book of all time) but it begs to be reread in all sorts of different ways. I think I talked about it more in-depth a few pages back and there should be a review for House of Leaves around here....

...aaahhhhh! Don't know what I should read first!!! I know what you mean, I've got so many right now I don't know which to start on, & haven't had much time for reading lately anyway. And I got another one today , the last one in Nora Roberts Circle Trilogy.
