Oh, too many to mention this time! After all, I had about ten days to go around all London bookshops and spend my money there - I spent much more on books than on DVD's, I can tell you that.
The highlights are:
Michael Slade: "Ghoul", "Hangman", "Bed Of Nails" Richard Laymon: "No Sanctuary", 'Darkness, Tell Us', "Out Are The Lights" Bentley Little: "The Association" Peter Straub: "Pork Pie Hat"
and the biographies of Bruce Campbell (finally!) and Michael J. Fox.

The Bruce Campbell bio is awesome! I think I read it in about 2 days.

Yeah, it is hilarious! The sole introduction (by the Raimis) killed me... And Bruce's description of his childhood wasn't any worse than it. Wonderful.

Yeah, I laughed the whole way through it. I put my copy up somewhere b/c it's autrographed & now I can't remember where I put it. I hate it when that happens...

The last book I purchased was Neil Gaiman's Neverwhere. Other than that, my Mom works at a library, she's the head librarian and showed my wife and I to a room filled with books that the library was either going to sell or toss and we walked out of there with 2 huge boxes of free books.

The books I got during my successful trip to England:
Bentley Little "The Resort" Ian Banks "Complicity" and "Whit" Guy N. Smith "The Slime Beast" and "Wolfcurse" (couldn't resist when I saw the camp covers!) Richard Laymon "The Lake", "After Midnight" and "Endless Night" Martin Amis "Visiting Mrs. Nabokov" Michael Palin "Sahara"
...it's not just about the DVD's, you see!

I got "Ripper" and Madsen's new poetry book in the mail today. Woo Hoo!! Madsen writes poetry?? Is it about shooting people and being a badass... or about killer whales?

Yes, he does. He has 5 books of poetry in all. The new one that just came out is a compilation of all the books plus some new stuff. Actually, he writes about his life and stuff that's happened to him. It's very raw & revealing & honest. It helps you see what kind of person he really is behind the bad-ass image he portrays. If you go to my Madsen MB & go to the "Poem of the Month" thread under the Books & Poetry section you can read some of his stuff. "Tears" is a great one. Talks about some of the major events in his life that made him who he is today.

Read it for laughs--and don't buy it.

I bought a collection of horror stories - "Scary!" it's called and looks suspiciously like a teenagers-targeted book, but since it contains stuff by King, Matheson, Asimov, Bierce, Bradbury, Dahl, Campbell, Bloch and more I couldn't resist. Plus it was cheap.

I have that collection. It's awesome.
It has some stories with pretty adult themes (such as the last one, written by Robert Bloch, writer of "Psycho.)

I have that collection. It's awesome. Good to know that! Do you also have the, um, sequel - Scary! 2? I intend to buy it if I like the first one, seems to be in the same vein.
