I hope they change the fight scene with Bill. Don't get me wrong, I loved the movie, but that was a very disappointing fight scene.

It was very predictable...you could see it coming a mile away. He could've thrown in a little more action before the finale. That's just my opinion though.

I voted for PULP FICTION too. I agree that perhaps no one will ever top that movie, not even Tarantino! That said, I really love TRUE ROMANCE and a part of me wanted to vote for that one, but PULP had to get the vote. It is just over the top fan-pucking-tastic.
I hated RESERVOIR DOGS. While PULP FICTION changed my life (I could never stand to watch ANY violence in films before PULP and PULP appealed to my sense of humor and let me put it in a perspective that now I don't have to avoid films anymore just because they have violence). HOWEVER there was not enough humor in RESERVOIR to coddle me into enjoying that flick...
I don't think of Tarantino as an actor -- he only plays himself basically -- but I have to say I do enjoy watching him play himself. I enjoyed him in PULP FICTION. Sheeeet, I enjoyed EVERYBODY in PULP FICTION...! ;D
I have not seen either KILL BILL yet. I need to hear more reviews that will entice me. Thus far the reviews I have read make me feel I probably won't like it. (I'm picky about what I will watch. I don't want to waste 2 hours of my precious time on a film that I am 60% sure I will not enjoy -- though if it's on the tube I'll let it be in the background just to get a gander at it...)

My vote went to From Dusk til Dawn. I loved the fact that it was like two separante movies (and tones), loved the horror aspects, the dialogue. I just recently saw it for the first time on my cable's ON DEMAND (that is a great thing btw) and was so surprised about how good it was.
Recently watched the Japanese version on Kill Bill Vol.1 and the climatic fight scene at the end was in color and a little different..there was actually a few more fight sequences. It was pretty cool actually to see a different version.

From Dusk Till Dawn is a great movie but I think it's kind of less powerful the second time round, when you already know that it's actually two movies for the price of one. When I saw it for the first time I was shocked when first vampire popped up!
Oh, and I also wish Harvey Keitel had a more interesting character to play there.

Most people I've talked to love the first part & hate the second. I loved all of it...the dialogue & atmosphere of the first half & the pure fun action & gore of the second half.

I completely agree. I liked both halves for different reasons. It's like getting two movies for the price of one. Me too! I can't say which one I really liked better - maybe the second one just a little b/c of the cool Tarantino-written dialogue. I know that is what a lot of people dislike, but it was awesome for me.

Well, for anyone hoping that Tarantino would still make that long rumoured prequel to PULP FICTION & RESERVOIR DOGS, with Madsen & Travolta, this doesn't sound too promising. IMDB:
John Travolta has dismissed rumors that he will star in a prequel to Pulp Fiction or a sequel to Grease. According to several websites, Quentin Tarantino is planning the prequel, tentatively titled The Vega Brothers, and wants Travolta to star. Travolta himself stoked the rumors at the Venice Film Festival last month when he said that Tarantino calls him regularly about the project. However, in an interview with the Australian website Moviehole, Travolta remarked that The Vega Brothers is "only in Quentin's imagination. That's never been presented to me." He indicated that he had been approached to do Grease 3 but that it was something "I just don't want to do. ... I didn't do [Grease] 2. Why would I do a 3?"

Some Tarantin gossip from IMDB:
Cult American director Quentin Tarantino is making a new action film entirely in the Chinese Mandarin language. The film will be an homage to the 1970s low-budget 'chopsocky' kung-fu genre, which Tarantino is a long-time admirer of. He is planning two versions, one with English subtitles and another dubbed into English, deliberately badly, as a nod to the original 'chopsocky' films. He tells British movie magazine Total Film, "My next movie is gonna be another kung fu film that's gonna blow your a*ses off. The next movie will be in Mandarin. I enjoyed shooting all the Japanese stuff in Kill Bill so much that this whole film will be entirely in Mandarin. If you're not up to watching it with subtitles, I really want to do a full-on dubbed version." The film, which will begin production next year, replaces Inglorious Bastards, a Second World War epic Tarantino has in the pipeline.

Hmmm...to someone like me who doesn't much care for the direction Quentin is going in, I'll just keep enjoying reruns of Pulp Fiction until he gets in another mood...

I think it's a sweet idea! I want the badly dubbed English version now! ;D
Just a pity that it replaces Inglorious Bastards which I looked forward to as well.

From Dark Horizons:
QT DIRECTING CSI EPISODE?
"Pulp Fiction" & "Kill Bill" writer/director Quentin Tarantino might soon be putting a new television gig under his belt: directing an instalment of the original "CSI" according to popular show-related site CSI Files.
George Eads (Nick Stokes) revealed during the SAG awards that Tarantino might do an upcoming CSI episode to the syndicated news magazine Extra. No specifics are available yet, and it's not known for which episode Tarantino would be sitting in the director's chair.
This won't be QT's first TV gig. The man has previously directed an episode of "ER", and was planning to direct an episode of "The X-Files" before the idea got scrapped. His most well-known TV gig was a guest starring role on ABC's hit spy drama "Alias" where he played rogue SD-6 agent McKenas Cole in a two-parter that aired early 2002 during the show's first season. He reprised the role for a cameo appearance during the third season early last year.
