21 GRAMS (2003)
Hadn't watched this one again since it was in theaters. Alejandro González Iñárritu brilliantly directed this jigsaw puzzle of a movie about three seemingly unconnected people whose lives are intertwined by a devastating accident. Sean Penn, Naomi Watts and Benicio Del Toro all give some of the best performances of their careers. I don't think this is quite up to the level of Iñárritu's previous film AMORES PERROS, but it's still a pretty powerful movie. Now to see BABEL.
8/10

My brother made me watch both that one and Knocked Up, and I acutally really liked both of them, moreso Superbad. I thought Seth Rogan was hilarious and I'm actually kind of looking forward to seeing Pineapple Express. And I think Rogan has written a script for (and will play) The Green Hornet sometime in the near future. Alien Nation 2/4- Comments in MGOTM

BABEL (2006)
Good, but my least favorite of Iñárritu's three big movies. AMORES PERROS is still my favorite, followed by 21 GRAMS.

BLADES OF GLORY (2007)
My thoughts in the Movie Genre of the Month thread.
ENCHANTED (2007)
Characters from a typical Disney-like animated fairytale are magically transported to modern day live-action New York in this fantasy-comedy. Amy Adams stars as a Princess-to-be obviously modeled after Disney heroines like Snow White, James Marsden is the Prince Charming character and Susan Sarandon is the evil queen and all do really great work. Amy Adams plays the innocence of those types of characters perfectly and Marsden is hilarious with his vacant look and campy overacting. The scene where Adams calls upon animals, like she would in the animated world, to help her clean an apartment is a scream. Instead of your typical woodland creatures, the animals of New York City come to her aid, ie: rats, pigeons, flies, roaches, etc. Lots of in-jokes referencing other Disney classics, like Snow White, Sleeping Beauty, Cinderella, Little Mermaid, etc. Innocent enough for kids, but adults will probably enjoy it even more for the self-referential humor.
7.5/10

ATONEMENT (2007)
A little girl accuses someone of a crime they didn't commit and changes lives forever. Starts out pretty good and, I gotta admit, I didn't see that ending coming, but my wife and I agreed that the middle kind of dragged. Decent, but didn't blow me away.

Harold and Kumar Escape from Guntanamo Bay (I don't remember) -- unlike the first one, this one isn't very funny. It's just weird. C-.
