Yeah, it works, Term.
We haven't seen nearly as many movies as we would've in the past, thanks to some major life changes this year, ie: new baby, new house.
I use the 10 point system. 10/10 is a perfect movie (very rare), 5/10 would be average, 1/10 is shit.
Here's my 2005 list:
Assault on Precinct 13 5.5/10 Batman Begins 8/10 Be Cool 5.5/10 Corpse Bride 7/10 Crash 8/10 Elektra 2/10 Fantastic Four 6/10 Grizzly Man 7.5/10 Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire 5/10 A History of Violence 8/10 King Kong 8.5/10 Man with the Screaming Brain 3/10 Munich 9/10 The Ring Two 4.5/10 Sin City 9/10 Star Wars: Episode III - Revenge of the Sith 9/10 The Upside of Anger 7/10 Walk the Line 7/10 War of the Worlds 7/10

Thanks Heineken, I adapted my four star system to their 10 point system. Some films I rated 4 stars, I gave 9/10 there, like ya said 10 is rare. I don't know if I'll add films to imdb unless I've just watched the film. Have you rated films there that you'd seen months ago, maybe years?

Yeah, I've added movies to my vote history at IMDB that I saw years ago. Of course, my memory of them is much better if I've seen them more recently. I've been voting at IMDB for about five years now, so I've built up quite a list.

Batman Begins: 9/10 Sin City: 10/10 Derailed: 7/10 Unleashed: 7/10 The Man With the Screaming Brain: 6/10 Downfall 10/10 (in Europe, I believe it's a 2004) A History of Violence: 9/10 Land of the Dead: 9/10 Episode III: 8/10 [edit] House of Wax: 6/10 [edit] Hostage: 6/10 [edit] King Kong: 8.5/10

I was wondering for those of you who included MAN WITH THE SCREAMING BRAIN. Was that ever released theatrically? I saw it on the SCI-FI CHANNEL and thought that was it's premiere? If it was a made for the SCI-FI CHANNEL movie, why are you guys including it in a list of theatrical features?

It did air theatrically in some parts of the US - I know Bruce toured with the film. But it's true it never got anything close to a wide release, no.
Same with Dominion.

And like Bart said, Bruce did tour it a bit theatrically. Just because it didn't have a nationwide theatrical release doesn't mean it's not a 2005 movie.

Relax Q, I was simply asking if it had been released theatrically at all because I had no idea one way or the other. I assumed that it was a SCI-FI CHANNNEL original and I also assumed that when Term started this thread it was for theatrical features only, he can correct me if I'm wrong, but if SCREAMING BRAIN played in even a couple of theaters than it counts, in which case I'll add it to my list as well, even though I didn't really care for it.

Hmm...
Ok...
The film has had to have been shown theatrically in 2005 to count.
Next Year that rule will change as studios are specifically gonna make a number of high-budget (yes, not low-budget) films to be released onto video only.

Hey, Bart has Dominion: The Prequel to Exorcist on his list and that movie wasn't released theatrically. The other version (Exorcist: The Beginning) was--last year.

Dominion: The Prequel to Exorcist was shown thearically from May 20th 2005 to June 2nd 2005 in 110 theaters & grossed $246,708 in that time.
Yeah, far from a successful box office smash, but it did get there.

So both DOMINION & SCREAMING BRAIN count, but just barely. I've added BRAIN to my list.
