Dominion: The Prequel to Exorcist was shown thearically from May 20th 2005 to June 2nd 2005 in 110 theaters & grossed $246,708 in that time. Yeah, far from a successful box office smash, but it did get there. They made all their money with it from Exorcist: The Beginning. I would've liked to catch it in a theater... Didn't even know it was released theatrically.

2 weeks can go by real fast especially if the film wasn't shown in your area & you were not expecting it to be shown theatrically. To top it off, 110 theaters was its widest release.. ouch..

Added War of the Worlds - 6/10
Felt a little more death was in order, ah well. I guess PG-13 is the future of big blockbusters. Independence Day was more entertaining imo.

For as much as I love Jurassic Park--I blame that for creating the idea that all blockbusters must be PG-13. And I edited Kong into my list as well.

Smitty's post reminded me of some titles I forgot (The Cave, Broken Flowers...) so I added them to my list.

Added Fantastic 4. Average comic-book-type-hollyweird-flick-with-all-the-usual-trimmings-you'd-expect-to-see-before-putting-in-the-dvd-in-your-dvd-player! Deleted Alexander. Dunno why I thought it was a 2005 flick..

Added:
Brokeback Mountain - 10/10 Fun with Dick and Jane - 7/10 Memoirs of a Geisha - 7/10 Rumor Has It... - 7/10
A note on Rumor Has It: I'm reading all over this Holier Than Thou attitude towards the movie, simply because its story revolves around that of a cinematic and literary classic. My other favorite complaint is that it's not as good as When Harry Met Sally.
Stop right there. Rob Reiner is responsible for multiple classics. A Few Good Men, Stand by Me, This Is Spinal Tap, the Princess Bride, Misery, and of course, When Harry Met Sally. Rumor Has It is a far cry from Reiner's best. What people are doing is comparing a good-but-not-great movie to a real cinematic classic... TWO real cinematic classics at that. Is that fair? Are we forgetting that the movie is at least GOOD because it's simply not AS good as the others? Granted, we've come to expect a lot from Rob Reiner, but that doesn't mean anything. A film that isn't a classic still has the potential to be good. Rumor Has It is good. It has a good story, nice comic timing, a great ensemble cast... it's what you'd want from a Rob Reiner movie, except just not as much as he's done in the past. My rating stands. 7/10.
