Wasn't there a press release saying that Craig didn't actually botch the stunts or something? I swear I saw it on IMDB. Anyways, this is causing greater concern than the whole Daniel Craig as Bond thing (actually, I'm beginning to be okay with him, after "Munich" and "Road to Perdition" and "Layer Cake"): www.telegraph.co.uk/news/main.jhtml?xml=/news/2005/10/16/nbond16.xmlOh, and this isn't a remake, considering the first "Casino Royale" was a parody, wasn't it? They're actually adapting the book this time.

I like the idea of this new Bond more and more, I must say.
By the way: the second script for Craig's Bond is in the works already - and it will supposedly continue some threads from Casino Royale.

I think Craig would make a great Bond, because while he doesn't have the Bond look per se, he does have the Bond personality and I guess that's what counted towards his casting.
I still wish it would have gone to Clive Owen or Hugh Jackman, but I'm not complaining.

He was excellent. On a limb... The best bond yet and by far the closet to novels!

While not the best, can't stand next to Connery (who Fleming was so impressed with he actually changed the character in the novels to match him) but stellar.

I liked Craig's Bond a lot: rough and tough but also making mistakes.
I'm glad that all these actors were always bringing something special with them to the character - yes, even Lazenby and Dalton. When I was reading the novels I was always imagining Moore's Bond for some reason, though...

Ok, I was really disappointed when Craig was first cast as Bond, because I was pro Adrian Paul to be the next Bond, but after I saw the film, I walked out saying, "Oh yeah, I like this guy." And I have to disagree, I think he's ruggedly handsome, and sexy as hell! His abs aren't completely chiseled which makes him a little more realistic for me. And I think I'm a fairly good judge of man meat.
No one will ever be as good as Connery, but Craig is off to a good start! I'm looking forward to the next installment.

In a shocking turn of events, Daniel Craig will NOT be reprising his role as James Bond. He has been replaced.
