I'm just such a kind-hearted guy is all! The first Anole the guy at the store pulled out of the case was the crippled one and we were thinking of still getting him because we figured that not too many people will want hurt animals. Then he said we'd get a discount, so that made the decision easier. We did only get about 95% of the lizard, after all... I know I know you've got such a kind heart. I just teased you a bit. You seem to love reptiles and crustaceans. What about these crickets. Do they concert before they die in the mouths of your fave reptiles? Maybe you could save a one or two from time to time and listien to their beautiful songs? What about tarantulas, other hairy spiders or some fascinating insects like mantis or ants? Spiders are really cute, aren't they? I'd really like to get an octopus or a squid--but I hear that squid don't live too long. I've always liked ants (favorite 50's era film? "Them!") and would like some praying mantis' for pets--but they also supposedly have extremely short life spans. The pet store we went to to get the lizards had giant millipedes, but the wife is not a fan of "bugs as pets." And crickets are just for eating! Beautiful music? Try cicadas!

I'm sure Spacer may already know about this, but if not I'm sure he'd love to, as well as some of the rest of you guys--I know I was excited: Giant Squid caught on tape, live, and in natural habitat!! Here's a link: news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20050928/ap_on_sc/japan_giant_squidI'm at work right now, so I haven't viewed the video yet.

That's just disgusting.... I didn't see a video but I saw pictures somewhere else and it's great. You know how many people dreamt to sea a giant octopus in its natural habitat? Its the perfect beauty in itself. I urge you to read: The Rime of the Ancient Mariner by Samuel Taylor Coleridgeto make you believe that the abhorrent, the abnoxious, the monstrous and the ugly is indeed the beautiful.

Spacer is totally right.
"Sea." Ha ha. Great accidental pun. Or was it...?

So I got an email from my Dad today. He just found out he has a cancerous tumor in his colon. Of course, it's sad news, but then again, my Dad took the time to fill his email with ass and "human sewer tubing" jokes. Luckily, it can be operated upon, and he's scheduled for that halfway through October. He'll not be able to lift anything heavy, and of course, joked that his job is to lift 70 ton airplanes into the air, so he's all "confused." I hope to be that chipper when I get bad medical news one day.

I hope your father will win the battle. You said he's not gonna give up, that's very important and is already a good sign.

I'd like to invite everyone to the horror section for a Halloween-inspired treat of "Guess the Gore Scene!"
Don't worry you non-horror buffs! I'm not picking truly obscure or wildly unknown films--mostly fairly large Hollywood releases with an exception here and there....
And of course, thanks for your kind words about my Dad. I'm sure he'll be just fine.
