In "The Godfather Part III," there is a man hanging from a bridge towards the end of the film. The man the actor is depicting was a real gangster. He is also my dad's cousin's wife's father. Wow you've got famous family members The Shawshank Redemption Forrest Gump The Godfather Platoon Fanatastic movies I've experienced the same

I've got two supposed classics on my slate to watch, both borrowed from a friend of mine (in return he borrowed C.H.U.D!!): The Graduate and Chinatown.
Also, I finally saw Garden State... I'm sorry I ever thought it was just dumbass chickflick. Great movie. I ever so love Natalie Portman!!

THE GRADUATE & CHINATOWN = Definite Movie Police infractions.
GARDEN STATE = Not so much. I haven't seen it either, but it's only what, a year or two old?

Just finished An Officer and a Gentleman for the first time, and damn if that isn't one of the greatest endings of all time.

As a Science Fiction/Horror fan, I'm happy to say I finally am able to cross the following off my list:

Ok guys...You guys are going to immediately hate me for what I am about to say. I have yet to see ANY Star Wars film. Nothing. Not even 1. ;D So...let the bashing begin!

I think my head just exploded... I think they're available on DVD. I would suggest starting with Episodes 4 - 6, the classic trilogy. Then Episodes I & II, then head out to the theater and see Episode III. We should never speak of this again.

Yeah, the other half is "making" me go see the new one...supposedly. I haven't agreed to go yet though! It's not that I haven't had the chance or anything...it's just that once I hit about 20 years old, my best friend and I were convinced that there was a reason that we were the only 2 people in the world who haven't seen them, so we made a pact not to see the movies just in case there was a reason that we had made it so long. But i'm pretty sure that i'll end up having to go see this next one...so i'll let you all know how it goes! hehe

No need to rush Joanne. I'll be waiting for the dvd release.
I would though, if I was in ya shoes, see Episode I & than II before seeing III. You're in the lucky position of seeing all the Star Wars films as they were meant to be seen.

Are you sure that's lucky? Story wise, sure SPOILER LOL After watching Episodes 4-6 for the first time, I didn't know who the main character was in all 3 films until I watched Episode 1.

Run Joanne, run w/ the speed of an antelope. Or you'll never make it outta here alive. I didn't think there was anyone who hadn't seen at least one of the SW movies.
